Brilliant. This is a great recording. I love the original Pink Floyd album’s songs, which helps, but this album stands on its own. The reimagining and instrumentation is tremendous and this album is a must for every dub fan.

You will not be unhappy with Dub Side of the moon. Awesome album and really stands alone on its own as a unique piece of music. Give it a listen

Keg jubihvb. If K in ni you yerrjvxrinikkppphyc

Phenomenal. How am I just now finding this??? It's simply phenomenal this interpretation of a classic album not only compliments the original but takes it to another level, not a higher...no pun intended....or lower just different and what has been done is almost like hearing it for the first time so in a way the classic has been reborn

sic song. your version of breathe in the air is sic i slam it anytime anywhere sometimes on repeat good move remixing it reggae style also nice money version pink would be proud

Ruined a great album. I may be only 15 but I appreciate the musical stylings of pink Floyd and sometimes a different outlook on a certain album may be good and may be bad. But this, this is just awful, nuff said

dub side of the moon. just saw them perform live in Vail, Colorado and had to listen and buy the album. took me to another place. Loved it!!!! amazing opening act for Michael Franti!

I ***** My Pants Just Listening to the Samples. Now all I need to do is go to the store and pick me up some philly blunts and an itunes gift card

Great Album!. Wonderful rendition of an all-time original classic album!

Huh...... So when your finally get'n too old to be fry'n anymore you can just switch from Floyd's orig. version to this one and simply blaze instead.... makes sense to me I guess. Well it's not the best album I've ever heard, that is for sure. But it definitely coulda been a whole hell-of-alot worse also. It's actually alright tho. It has a bit of it's own charm to it in a novelty sort of way. It is creative for sure. I don't know how they pulled it off but they did and that is commendable.

Love it!. I've been listening to this for album for years. It is one of my all-time favorites. Absolutely brilliant. Bravo, Easy Stars!

Groovy!. Floyd raggae style! SWEEEET!!!!

watch it with a movie. have you ever listened to this cd to the movie wizard of oz? do it. turn down the volume and play the cd with the movie its a trip the music flows with the movie

woow. amazing!! i love pink floyd and i heard this.. they deserved to remake that albom

Tastefully and accurately re-lived. The echo of the beat that has affected at least three generations of music echoes once again. For me, it wasn't enough to attempt to cover such a legendary artist as Pink Floyd; you must hit the nail on the head or forever be ostracized. Many major artists who have created masterpieces in the industry such as Radiohead, Phish, and Layne Staley have tried and failed miserably. If you remember one thing after reading this review, I suggest you remember this; Not a soul on Earth is capable of capturing the kind of vibe and studio professionalism that Pink Floyd has possessed over the years. That said, Dub Side of the Moon is arguably the best cover of Pink Floyd material to date. The Easy Star All-Stars tinker with the classic sound in all the right places by blending audio samples from the original Dark Side of the Moon, with the clarity and the relaxed chord str umming of Reggae. They have found the perfect hybrid of old and new. Inside the booklet that comes along with the CD is a tale of two worlds. One world that has been gathering for over 30 years since the rise of Pink Floyd in the late 1960's. The other world from an underground rising of counter culture sound. the Reggae Dub world. The Easy Star All-Stars are made up of different Dub stars from around this hemisphere. Sluggy Ranks, Frankie Paul and Dr. Israel make up just some of the performers here. This piece is apparently so accurate you can over analyze its creepy correlations to The Wizard of Oz, just as you can with Pink Floyd's version. Now, if I am like most, then we've all overplayed Dark Side of the Moon to the point of memorization. As these two worlds collide like two neighboring pieces in a puzzle, you may find yourself believing this 30 year classic is new to your ears. The guitar intro of "Speak to Me" collects your undivided attention. Next you're being shocked by the amount of patience and emotion that leak out during the lyrics. Fading into track two you find you have entered the world of "On the Run". This is probably one of the most aggressive changes the All-Stars made. The lyric less track is in original rhythm, yet coasts through in a tasteful drum and bass format. These guys even went a step farther than the album's originators and threw on four instrumental tracks. A beat was not missed from start to finish. Instead of an explosion of clocks at the beginning of "Time," it is refreshingly replaced with a grungy, dubbed rooster call. While slight changes are the key formula, the concept followed here is not that of a Pink Floyd cover, but more so an eye opener to the beautiful and underrated world of Reggae.

Dubsteppin Dat Dawkside Mon. Mo mo monay nay nay nay

nice. pink flloyd is very lame hippy music, but this guys make it better.

Maybe i don't get it.. As i was reading some of the comments, I noticed people saying that they are messing up Pink Floyd's album. I have been a big Floyd fan all my life (thanks Dad), and i love this album. Even my dad who is 61 now, and listened to Floyd from the beginning liked it. I think people are just being being elitists when they say it is a bad album, and quite frankly Everybody who says that they like any bands earlier work, but not the new stuff or what ever for every band out there should try to listen to the music they claim to represent, and listen to. Try it out, there is some great music being made, and should not be judged by people that "only like their old stuff" dudes. This is not just for floyd, but any band.

Reggae and DSOTM, awesome.. If you enjoy reggae and Pink Floyd you'll love this album.

One word.... Outstanding. Ok a few more for those that are inclined to continue reading. I was never a huge Pink Floyd Fan. Late in life I had the great fortune of rediscovering their music. As a huge reggae/dub fan.... this makes me even more of a fan. Outstanding reinterpretations of one of the most perfectly flowing albums of all time. This disc flows as well as the first and the story unfolds. It doesn't matter if it's a long trip down the yellow brick road or a personal journey of salvation.... this album will not disapoint. X

Floyd would be proud.... The best dub ever! Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' reggae-style. Genius.

WOW. I was born in 73 , the year of The Dark Side , and have been listening to Pink Floyd since I can remember. I listened to The Dub Side of The Moon for the first time in the Caribbean and I thought I was hearing things after one too many. This album blew my mind . They are fantastic musicians showing that truly good music can cross genres and have many magical interpretations. Amazing

5/5. love it, its the perfect mix of the origional floyd and new dub rock reggea. a beutiful compilation and a master piece.....

Remade without ruining a classic. This is a great album, and none of the songs are ruined. A great alternative to the real Floyd every once in a while. Regardless, it's some sweet grooves

Great. This is so cool.

Brilliant but under appreciated songs.... Shocked to see On the Run with such a low rating/score whatever. It's what turned me on to this album. A really nice take on the Floyd all the way thru.

Tell Your Friends. This band - and this album - are phenomenal. It's rare to encounter a band that puts out entire albums full of great songs these days - granted, these are a cover of Pink Floyd originals, but if you listen to this version, you'll see that ample creativity went into creating this gem (as well as the other Easy Star albums). A friend shared "Dub Side" with me and i've been hooked on Easy Star's music ever since. Do your friends a favor and introduce them to the dubba-dubb-dub delightfulness. :)

Rastaman Floyd. The attention to detail- respecting Floyd's original sound while reinventing it with pure dub- reigns over this entire album. What stands out most is their cover of Time, from the easy beat to open the song, to the swirling reggae keys to the free-style jam. Time is the master, time can be a disaster. Melodica after the verses is simply amazing. Step it pon the rasta man scene, yo.

Great Album. Pink Floyd+Reggae= Pure Gold

Dub side of the moon. The song speak to me breathe is cut off at the end! That pretty much ruins the song and I would really like a refund since the song was incomplete. I actually bought two songs from you, speak to me/ breath and us and them. Both are cut off at the end of the song....

You are in for a treat with this one. We had the oppportunity to see the Easy Star All-Stars this fall at Art Outside, north of Austin, TX, & i can't tell you how much of a treat it was. After they jammed out to a couple of fabulous Michael Jackson songs, we dove right into the weird world that is pink floyd (from what im learning) . I am looking forward to sharing this album with my dad over the holidays.

AWESOME!!!. Way better than the Flaming lips covers. This album combines the two greatest things ever reggae and psychadellic rock. Not too much like the original but not too different. A great buy for anyone who like reggae or pink floyd.

Buy it. Windows up

Sick !!. What a badass idea and album !!

One of the best.. One of my favorite reggae albums. Heard these guys in Austin and could not wait to pick them up. Very cool interpretation here. A must buy for those seeking relaxin' tunes.

Floyd meets Reggae. This album is so amazingly creative that I can't put it down some days. They did such a good job capturing Dark Side of the Moon in this dub up. I didn't expect very much when I first saw this, except that it is probably a failure. Ha! I was way off there. I'm so amazed at how good this album is. Five stars.

Amazing. dark side of the moon put a little reggae spin on it and you have one amazing album an absolute must for my ipod

Good stuff!. Diehard fan of Floyd, loved it! Love they love Floyd as much as we do.

awesome. There isn't much that can be said about this album but awesome. Great dub renditions of great songs. This is a far cry from the played out floyd covers that all the other artists put out. ESAS is solid.

Did anyone else have a problem with track #1 Breathe?. Great if the song was complete! I have downloaded this song 3 times and still is corrupt. After the intro it skips to the next song. I cant seem to get a clean version. Apple please take a look at this. Thank you

haha. ahahahaha they is taking bong rips!!! eh hem.....Great album. I enjoy the combination of reggae and pink floyd

So wierd i just had to get it & Frankie Paul!. Frankie Paul is always a Must, but this album is both so wierd, full of true Reggae stars, and well executed. I bought it after hearing five tracks

Excellent. A must buy!

Crap. It's a rip off of what is a great album. I'm 10 and I think that pink Floyd is one of the best bands ever, but now this is just the worst music ever.

❤️. ❤️

Novelty Album, Half A**ed. This is the first novelty album of many for these easy star guys. Some good stuff on here, but even the good stuff is good only for its novelty. I like to try to appreciate album artwork too, and for '03, this really bl*ws. Looks like it took 5 minutes

Love it!. I finally bought it a couple of weeks ago, thinking it might be good for a listen or two. Fact is, this album really grows on you. What they've done here is pretty phenomenal. They have stayed true to the essence and the original intent of the music, but also added a whole new dimension to it.

The Perfect Union. I have listened to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon since I was 5 - I know every Breath of it. As an adult who wore dreads, my love and respect for both of these is immense - without pause, this dub album is a brilliant achievement. It is done absolutely flawlessly, both as a tribute to Floyd's album with every last perfect note, and as a fun and extraordinary reggae collection of its own. Throughout the album, I'm in awe and grinning wildly. Aaah, union!

Different and Brilliant.... I consider myself an eclectic music listener, but when I was first told of this album by a friend, it took some convincing to even get me to listen to it, because the idea of a Pink Floyd tribute being done in reggae, quite frankly, to me, sounded so weird and off-putting that I almost didn't give it a chance. Thank god I did. If you can't hear the quality and production value in "money"... my friend, your ears are broken and you should go download the new justin bieber album imidiately. I found myself unable to even take a break from this album for a good week once I opened my mind to it. Different? Yes. Fantastic? Yes. An unbelievable tribute? Yes, but also very much their own thing. Lots of gems in this album... Nice work All-Stars.

Fresh sound. It gives Pink Floyd's music such a fantastic twist. It's like Bob Marley and the Wailers teamed up with Pink Floyd to form an ultimate alliance.
