All Over the World: The Very Best of Electric Ligh... by Electric Light Orchestra

This is a great collection but gets docked a star for leaving out the single best ELO tune ever, Can't Get It Out of My Head, as well as other key tracks like Do Ya and Twilight. Why they would leave out their very first Top 10 single is beyond me, especially when that particular song sounds far less dated than virtually every track in this collection other than Evil Woman and Livin' Thing. Still, an ELO set with 90% of their best output is still well worth the price.

This is one of the most unique, amazing sounding bands I have ever heard. What is really strange is that I am from this generation and I really don't listen to a lot of music from the 70's and 80's. This album, however, is amazing. My dad showed me a lot of songs but I never was really interested until I played Skate 2, which had the song Showdown on it. Really great band, really great music. Highly recommend.

Ell has the happiest album of all time! Certain songs on here make you just wanna jump out of bed such as (Mr. Blue Sky) truly fantastic music!

No Do Ya ???? Not buying. One of the best anthem songs of the 70s. But they put disco Xanadu on here? Yuck

The genius of Jeff Lynne shines through once again. This puts to rest any idea I ever had regarding what I thought was his growing wearIness of ELO. This release may not chart but I don't think that matters to Lynne. He seems to be enjoying what he admits he loves doing; being in the studio! 4 & 1/2 stars!

I fell in love with this album!ELO's greatest tunes all in one! Although this is the only album I have of them, it includes my favorite tracks.I simply adore every song on the album except "Rock and Roll Is King". Otherwise, I can't wait to purchase Vol.2!(Which has all my other favorite Electric Light Orchestra songs!)Last, but not least, the sound quality is terrific on this album!

Awesome, epic, beast,raw, mint. However you like to call it this is pure awesomeness pure music period•... This is the best music everything from rock to just plain happy music ( songs that will make you happy and will take you're depression away GARENTEED) yes it's that good. This music will fit everyone's type if music even people who don't like music. I would give this infinite stars if could. It's a beautiful master piece of music :D this is the best music in the world buy it today no exceptions no hesitations no questions just do it :)

A great set of songs for sure - but how are "Do Ya" and "Calling America" not on this album?? I want everyone who's just getting introduced to ELO to hear those songs!!

ELO is an amazing band, fun to listen to always. I own many of their albums, whether on CD, mp3, cassette, or vinyl. But some tunes are missing, like "last train from London" which was an amazing hit. However, this is an amazing album and I love it.

All Over The World gives a very good range of all of ELO's career, (minus the first 2 albums and Balance of Power) including some songs that the average listener might not have heard before, (such as The Dairy of Horace Wimp or Ma-Ma-Ma Belle, both of which have been slightly forgotten over the years). Though a few are missing, (like Do Ya and Daybreaker) this set of songs are very enjoyable. The inclusion of Xanadu material is great as well. For $10, this album is highly recogmended!

But, very disappointed you can’t purchase All Over The World on it’s own. I own everything else already, so, why would I purchase an entire album just for one song?? 🤷🏻‍♀️
