Mariah Carey's "Emotions". This was her second album. Even though it did not share the same success as her first album, there were still some great hits produced from it. Some of them are "Emotions," "Make it Happen," "Can't Let Go," and "If it's Over." Like almost all of Mariah Carey's albums, this one reflects elements of love, both happy and sad. It also showcases her unforgettable vocal ability, this album containing some of the hardest song's to perform in her entire carrier.

Favorite album of all time!. Out of all of Mariah's successes and failures with her releases, "Emotions" is the only album I can officially call my favorite. Her vocals are astonishing and the classic R&B only compliments her. My personal favorites are "So Blessed" and "You're So Cold". "Emotions" is an amazing album.

This Album Shows Her Vocals Off. this album FOR SURE is her to date BEST album that shows her vocals and how well her music is with simply a simple beat beautiful lyrics and her AMAZING VOCAL Range. Not one of these songs go over board or over produced. They are simple, beautiful lyrics, catchy beat and AMAZING vocals. This wasnt her most famouse album or her most sold, but it is definatley a stand out.

Perfection. Although I'm 19 years late, this is definitely one of the BEST albums I've ever heard. One of the very few cd's I can leave playing and not skip a track. Incredible album. Definitely her best work in my opinion.

One of the greatest records of the 90s. Pure music magic ✨

Emotional. This album, for the most part is very raw. Vocally, she gives this album her all, not to say that her all Is not in all of her work, but on this one, her "emotions" are a lot more intense than on her other records. After the success of her 1990 debut, with the Grammy's and all, I think Mariah was just in a good place, just emotionally and spiritually. If you really listen closely, Mariah is not really speaking about love on the most personal ballads, she's really talking about a more spiritual kind of love. I mean, "You got me feeling emotions/deeper than the heavens above" or "I will love till the end time" or "Lying beside you/This joy is so deep." Mariah on this album focussed more on art than being trendy, it's evident on the entire LP; it's very old school R&B. It's a good album; one of my favorites of all time. The only reason this album did not receive 5 stars was due to some of the production; the entire album used the same type of piano which on some tracks like "To Be Around You" just sounded cheap and tacky. If the album was left a little simpler and cleaner with the instrumentation, this album would have been perfect. Other than "Butterfly" and "E=MC2" This remains Mariah's best work, simply because of the emotions behind it. Album Highlights: Till the End of time; The Wind.

Pretty good. The worst song on this album is the #1 hit "Emotions." The rest is pretty darn good besides "The Wind." I think "Can't Let Go" is underrated. So is "Make It Happen."

Mariah's most Gospel-Sounding and vocally acrobatic. If you love hearing Mariah's vocal acrobatics then this is the best album. Though the album was pumped out really quick one year after her debut album which she never did again it is still just as good. Out of every Mariah album this album has the *most* gospel sound, on tracks 2,4,5, and 6 especially. The number one hits on this cd like Emotions and Can't let go are great but the *real treasures are So Blessed with it's gorgeous melody, Till The End of Time, one of her best ballads in my opinion, and The Wind whom she wrote for a friend that died in a car accident. This is the young Mariah showing off her greatest vocal abilities and her *big big voice. There really isn't a lot of her singing in her softer sultry voice on here, it stands out on it's own, and in my opinion is better, and more "Mariah" than her first album was.

Till' The End Of Time... It hurts to listen to this song ! It reminds me what it feels like to be in love. I love mariah carey , im 19 & ive been listening to her since i was 8 ! This is one of my fave albums by her along with daydream ,music box & butterfly. This album is pure singing at its best<3

This is REAL MUSIC!!. This was an AMAZING album for Mariah!! Vocally this album was her very best in my opinion!!! Emotions- Mariah's best song ever recorded!! The song is alive, catchy, feel good, and sung exceptionally!! And You Don't Remember-Beautiful ballad. Very underrated song. The dynamic vocals Mariah throws into this song are breathtaking!! Can't Let Go-Should have went number one!! The song captures you. It pulls you into the beautiful motion and vibe of the song. Love it!! Make It Happen-Mariah's beautiful testimony!! It is encouraging and well sung. If It's Over- not her best!! It has a 60s Aretha, Jackson 5 vibe. Pretty good!! You're So Cold- The first 56 seconds are wonderful and the the song is dissapointing from then. It has to grow on you. So Blessed- Typically beautiful!! To Be Around You- An upbeat gospel feel!! It makes you wanna dance!! Hidden vocals here and there. She makes you dance but still sings perfectly!! Till The End Of Time-Leaves you speachless!! Calm, soothing ballad!!! The Wind- Slow jazzlike ballad. Tear drawing

This is very nostalgic. Till the end of time is a winter song for me. Half of the songs in her albums are songs I only listen to in the winter. I even remember dancing to emotions in the basement with my cousins and brothers when I was 3 years old. Good Times!

Exceptional Album!!!. This is by far the best work I have ever seen of all time from any artist. The depth of the emotions that pervade the lyrics is to say intense, but that just doesn't do it any justice. This is a must have for any person who wants the most intense feeling a person can have put to words. Every single song on this album is exceptional with the power of the words in the lyrics to the awesome intensity of a top rate band, producer, mixer all complimented by a gorgeous singer!! I can't say enough good about Mariah!!!!

If you are a die-hard Mariah Fan ...... This and her title album "Mariah Carey" could do something to your soul no other songstress could ever do. She single-handedly kept Me afloat during some of the toughest times of My Life , I thank God for her angelic voice and her passionate soul 😌.

Mariah's Most Underrated Album. Emotions is literally her most underrated album ever! It has the most beautiful songs written and it's so heartfelt. It's pure beauty

Not as good as her first. Had to grow on me,I grew up listening to these CDs my mom had, 'Mariah Carey' 'Music Box' and 'Daydream' were the main we listened to,'Emotions got left out except for the title track I knew and liked. The other singles 'Cant Let Go' and 'Make It Happen' are very good,'Your So Cold' and 'If It's Over' should have been other two singles,because they are standouts

Emotions. Mariah Carey has always created such colorful and creative music! There's a good reason why she is the Godess of R&B/Soul! Yeah, artists like Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Usher, Neo, etc. are okay...maybe. But Mariah Carey's the real deal here! And you cannot go wrong with this album! It's epic from start to finish! Every song on here is amazing, especially "Till the End of Time." Beautifully written and composed song!

A Classic. Make it Happen and Can’t Let Go are my Fav

Solid Sophomore Album. Overall, this album works better in the ballads then the fast songs, but it's not fair to judge altogether. Here's a track by track review: Emotions - fun and definately benefits from have C&C producing, but is oversung to the point of annoyance in certain sections (those climbs! what human can hit those?) And You Don't Remember - certainly an emotional improvement over "Emotions," this one is very poignant and sincere. Can't Let Go - the best single from the album, this one is a great ballad that still bounces enough to keep listeners awake who aren't paying attention Make It Happen - a song that will grow on you over time; at first glance this is simple, but is intoxicatingly fresh and inspiring after a few listens. If It's Over - simply put, this is a fantastic vocal performance even if its lyrics and musicality sound like they're from another time period (fitting that Carole King co-wrote) You're So Cold - interesting attempt at a dance song, this one is again is oversung, albeit a little easier on the ears than Track 1 So Blessed - this is where the album really starts to take a turn towards the best qualities in a Mariah track: the earthy vocals, simple yet effective production, shot-to-the-heart lyrics, and over-the-top theatrics that build from the slow start to the dramatic finish To Be Around You - the best fast track on the album, because it takes a simpler approach with more laid-back vocals that sit better on the track Till the End of Time - similar to "So Blessed," this one ups the ante by being more atmospheric and takes its time to really send the message to the listener; easily, the best song from the album. The Wind - a very mature song for such a young singer, "The Wind" was maybe too quiet and simple - it's perfectly fine, but rather simple and almost boring.

Emotions AMAZES !!!😊. I love this woman's voice, the best I have ever heard. Gosh, nothing like the classic Mariah Carey ! Her voice is a rarity and even though they say others sound like her, I believe otherwise. There is only ONE Mariah👌one voice !!!!!!!

I give this one a 4.5. Prefer her debut.. I like this album. Mariah has surely grown as an artist and as a lyricist, and only in one year since her last album. She really came back on this one but it was, like another reviewer stated, kind of the same compared to her debut. But what I did notice was that with a couple of the songs, Mariah did a complete 360. I don't know what to name it, but the sound is a kind of elevator music sound. Jazz. I know a lot of people who say that Mariah Carey only sings the same thing with each song, and that is not necessarily true. They need to do their research. I noticed with this album the lyrics are much much more complex, as with her first album they were more simplistic (but still good). As an overall cohesive whole, I prefer her self-titled debut album. I didn't really care for the ending on this one, The Wind. I thought it was kind of strange. But I am not Mariah Carey, and I didn't make it. Overall, good but not my favorite. I liked Make It Happen and Emotions and So Blessed and Can't Let Go and And You Don't Remember.

One of my FAV albums the '90's!. All right! I LOVE Mariah Carey except... well this my FAVORITE album of her's except I WASN'T EVEN BORN YET! LOL! Her vocals are so amazing and she's just one of those artists that never ages with time. People like Hilary Duff have basically disappeared out of the music world! Buy this album because you WON'T regret it!

Mariah Songstres at her finer moments. This was when Mariah showed her self, off, best, as a writer and great vocalist. She needs to re conect, I think, with this spirit. I know as an artist, sometimes they get bored and want to experiment. But how amazing will it be to get her to do these stuff from her again ...

MY FAVOURITE ALBUM EVER.. WOW. Is all i can say. The album is so carefree and has so many amazing songs on it! First of all "Emotions" is a truly classic song. Her voice is undeniably amazing. "Can't Let Go" is like the Great Ballad of the album where she totally pours out the emotion. "Make It Happen" Is very inspiring and reminds me of an old soul Aretha type of song. "the Wind" is so beautiful. It's about losing somebody, But it gives off that really "Carefree" feel. "Till The End Of Time" is one of those rare songs guaranteed to make you shed a tear and "To Be Around You" is such a happy song!! I love this album so much and I'm proud to be a mariah fan.
