Find of a Lifetime. A true fan of all four, so much so that I have lifesize picture hanging in my music room. Wish I could have been there! This album is among my all time favorites because they were happy and enjoyed each other.
Proper Credit. Not every song is song by Elvis Presley. It is called a quartet! It wasn't just all Elvis. The rest of the quartet deserves to have credit.
Rip It Up is a Rip Off. I bought the version of Rip It Up by Elvis Presley, not realizing that it was not the song. $0.99 for 22 seconds of Elvis playing the opening notes seems a little steep.
The Complete Million Dollar Quartet. Priceless!!
Amazing. These were the Great Singers of history, love Johnny Cash sincerity and lived in a live no one ever even deemed of, Elvis was the birth of Rock and Roll, and had his vocals amazingly, Jerry Lee was one of the deniers no one thought the piano would be the lead instrument in top 10 songs, Carl though not many have every even heard of you I salute you. Thank You Legends.
Great!. To think these guys came out of the same studio. Try to imagine that there was a time when these guys were unknown to the world. I bet you can't. And that says it all. The ultimate "Jam session"!
overall-OK. Overall, good if for nothing else, a historical event. Nonetheless, I hear essentially no singing by Carl Perkins or Johnny Cash.
Legendary.. For any Sun Records fan, Elvis fan, Cash fan, or anyone significantly interested in where rock n roll came from, this CD is EPIC. There is no one in current music that should not be thanking these men for their foundational work. To get such extensive recording of them all together is nothing short of godly.
Epic. When this session was recorded, Elvis was on RCA records and just popped into Sun studio to say hi. Jerry Lee Lewis was a session player and is the one playing on most of the songs. Because Elvis is on these recordings with Sun artists, RCA wouldn't let it be released. The two labels had to work out the legalities for this to be a reality. Glad they worked it all out.
Elvis, Johnny, Carl,. This was an historical event that happened back in the late 1950’s with Elvis Presley,Johnny cash, & Carl Perkins . It is a true fact and most of the songs are sung by Elvis Presley. One or two are sung by Carl Perkins by himself. & some of the other songs if you listen to them are all of them singing together or they are talking or they are outtakes.
Amazing, monumental, and eerie. By far the most amazing quartet to ever sing through a microphone! And a major moment in musical history (REAL music!). The way this is put together gives you a feeling like you are sitting in that recording studio watching these four singing, telling jokes, and just being themselves like most people never got to see. It is most definitely an album that will send chills down your spine and make you feel the music that's being sung. Truly touching!
Credit where it's due.. This is a great compilation. I gave it a four star, due to the fact that not every song is lead by E.P. Sure sounds like The Killer rather than The King on End of the Road. Give Jerry Lee his credit.
Foresight. That someone had the foresight to leave the tape running to capture these guys at this time in their carriers is amazing. No one at that time knew the legends they would become or the impact they would have on the music industry. If it was accidental the god must have had a hand in it.. Either case it's five star for it's historical value JimBob
Definitely Killer on end of the road. Aside from sounding like him....it's almost like an outtake from the Jerry Lee album with the same track on it

Spontaneous!. I can't explain the magical in this album… One of the greatest album in the Elvis legacy! :)
Legendary. One in a lifetime recording. Amazing.
Elvis. I don't really like Elvis, more like his older stuff, but this album, i really liked. Probably the influence of Jonny Cash, is what makes it so good

awesome. sooo many songs for so little money. I love this album man. Such a relaxed, bouncing, rambling vibe. The little verbal exchanges between artists really make it aswell. And better still the little background noises of sun studios; doors closing; other artists recording; laughs etc.
Uh Geez. Well then.........Elvis loves hisself so much that he puts 3x Brown eyed handsome man, 2x Don't be cruel, 2x crazy ones, 2x Don't forbid me and loads of otha songs just to fill up the cd!! Elvis Elvis Elvis, i have a tip for u (even though ur dead) - how about sticking to one copy of each song?! u big fat chicken!
