What was she thinking? Slow and a bit narcissistic. Really enjoy Adele’s music, but I don’t know what she was thinking with 30. In her previous albums she would talk about how others (mostly men) affected her and the songs were her either working through her emotions or who she became on the other side. She does that as good as any artist. 30 is all about her inner feelings and struggles. She is the antagonist through this album with little exception and it comes off like complaining. There are 2 monologues in the midst of these songs and they are all about her, to think we want to hear her talk about mundane struggles spoken with an introspective tone in the middle of a song comes of narcissistic and really self indulgent. There is no hope, no resolutions….it’s just depressing. I’m not a mind reader but it seems she was thinking about herself and not her listeners/fans with 30 and I hoped we wouldn’t let her get away with it but somehow it’s a 4star album. Her first album 19 was generally slow but cool and interesting. Nearly every song on 30 is not only slow but also uninteresting and frankly just boring. Getting through this album was nearly impossible the 3rd time. Save your $ and just by the “easy on me” single. It is the only song here with any value. Nearly every other song on 30 should have stayed in Adele’s head as far as I’m concerned.

Easy On Me. A fantastic work. Reading the paragraphs at the top, you realize why Adele wanted to step away, heal, and make a deeply personal album. All songs have meaning, not many albums have that nowadays.

Disappointed. I had high hopes for this album but felt after listening to it totally let down and fully disappointed. What happened!!!!! This album felt lazy and sad and depressing. Maybe you should just stay home like you wanted to and drink your wine and watch movies. If you are going to keep releasing stuff like this I will not continue listening to you. I know you can do better.

Best album yet. I have seen far too many reviews saying things like “I expected more from Adele” or “these songs go nowhere”. I get it, everyone can have their own taste in music, but these songs are PEAK ADELE. They have musical and lyrical depth beyond any of her previous albums and many people just were expecting something more mainstream. Forget about 1 star reviews, buy this album!

Simply Elegant, Beautiful and Heartbreaking. if i could, i’d give this album infinite stars. and to clarify, i’ve never been a big fan of adele in the past and my kind of music is indie/alt and rock and my favorite band is Foo Fighters. This album was able to make me dance around my room, lie in the floor and contemplate the meaning of life and love, and sob (To Be Loved and My Little Love, I’m looking at you) and this is simply one of my most favorite albums in the world. It was sad, beautiful and tragic and the songs were so well written and created. Be prepared for some of the best of adele in this album.

Bummed. Obsessed w/ Ms. Adkins but this is by far my least favorite album :/

A slight difference. Adele is most known for her heartwarming songs like set fire to the rain but this album just doesn’t fit in with the rest of her hits but I like easy on me thou! I would kind’s recommend
