The Best!. I got this CD on my 13th birthday from some friends and I was so overjoyed, I listened to it late into the night on the DVD player because I didn't have a CD player of my own yet, and I was hooked. This compilation has all of John William's best themes and elements from the original SW films. Who could forget The Imperial March or Throne Room and Finale? There is some blaster shooting and glass breaking or something at the end of The Cantina Band... I think you should buy this if you like this music as much as I do.

Wonderful! Simply Astounding!. John Williams is one of the all-time best composers and with this album he definently proves it!!!

Yet another five stars. This album does an admirale job taking the best and most well known numbers in the origional trilogy and making sure that each episode and theme appears equally balanced. What I enjoye most about this album is specifically found in track 9, The Cantina Band. I likked how the track continued through the sound affects after the gun shot, and didn't abruptly cease. John Williams once again does an incredible job conducting his own music. Another 5 stars.

Classic!!. All the best songs from the original trilogy, I had the Star Wars album when I was seven, sounds just as incredible today!!

star wars. WOW i just luv star wars and i luv this album

Star Wars!!!. I like Star Wars, as well as John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra, and just for all of you, this is NOT the real recordings. They are really, really, REALLY good re-recordings, but not the real thing. Still, I do love me the Throne Room and Finale :)

I LOVE the main theme. I play it when I walk in my closet cuz I have Star Wars Lego sets

Awesome. So amazing

This generation's "classic" music. I was fortunate enough to see John Williams in concert, and it was fantastic. Certain things transcend their medium and can stand on their own; the music from Star Wars is a good example of this.

Great Re-Recordings!. New fans should know up front these are NOT the original recordings featured in the films. This album is performed by the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra (not the London Symphony Orchestra), though Maestro John Williams held the baton for these recordings. Like the original soundtrack albums, Williams has sequenced this album thematically rather than chronologically, so don't expect to go from Episode IV through Episode VI; this album celebrates the entire Original Trilogy and moves throughout all three films. The only real complaints are that some songs stay too quiet too long ("The Little People" especially), and the beautiful composition "Han Solo and the Princess" is absent--it has even been removed from "The Asteroid Field," and it is sorely missed. Be sure to check out Williams's two re-recording anthologies of his works for Steven Spielberg: "The Spielberg/Williams Collaboration" and "Williams on Williams."

Cantina Song. My personal favorite is the Cantina Song, but they all are incredible. John Williams is a genius!

Great Album!. Great sounds!! John Williams is great composer, and this album proves it. Great classical pieces!!

Too Expensive :(. Though these songs are great and I love Starwars, this album is overpriced. it is 13.99 for the album of 13 songs. just buy the songs seperatly if you want them, not the whole album. 13.99 for 13 songs, or 12.87 for those same 13 songs, only bought seperatly.I would still recomend all these songs though.

Clasicc Trilogy. George Lucus did an EXELENT job directing the movies. (I've seen every Star Wars movie) John Williams did better with the music!!

one of the best. this is one of the best star wars albums. Of all of them i think this is one of the best i reccomend Main theme and Throne room and Finale
