Nice Try. I am a big Ed fan but this album is so different than what he's done in the past. He asks us to listen to the entire album as it is presented. The problem is that there are epic albums that are created to be listened to through it's entirity as things flow from one song to the next building on what came before. One of my favorite albums like this is Supertramps Crisis - What Crisis? The songs aren't a bunch of singles like Ed Sheeran's albums. The entire album put out by Supertramp with Crisis uses the songs and the music to slowly push you toward a climactic peak and then pulls you back in with something milder at the last minute. There were no hit singles on Crisis because the entire album is meant to be listen to from the beginning to the end. By Ed's own description, these songs are crap. He wrote many songs a day but none of them have the music that doesn't feel like it was thrown in as an exhausted afterthought. Ed asked us to listen to the entire album before passing judgment but I only made it about half way through and then abandoned it. = should be a continuance of Ed's development of his talent but it is just a bunch of mediocre singles. I believe that this album will not sell well and it will hopefully lead Ed to realize that every five or six songs that he writes every day are not all golden and that he needs to learn more about creating music that elevates his lyrics instead of whatever this album was supposed to be.

Love him. Shivers and bad habits are my two favorite songs by him so glad he’s making upbeat songs they r catchy and easy to sing too love Ed sheeran.

Business As Usual Sheeran- Very good. This is a really solid product from Mr. Ed Sheeran. I just listened to all the songs there are many standouts on this album. When Ed puts it all together with great lyrics, beats, & hooks that stay with you, there is nobody better in the business. However sometimes he can be a bit formulaic with either too poppy sappy love songs or jaded scorned lover songs. I was a bit worried when I 1st heard the 3 singles released that this album would trend too much in that direction for my liking. I get it he has a record label to appeal to but this album had enough songs I liked that didn't go in that direction. So in a sense it feels as this album is pleasing to many different age groups. Best songs on this album in order of greatest are: 1) Stop The Rain. This is about another heartbreak song, jaded scorned lover. It has a good vibe, good/beat but a great singalong tune. 2) Leave Your Life. Catchy & an awesome beat. Ed sings this really well. Very identifiable and will grow on you each listen. 3) 2Step. I really dig this one and it's the one on the album that sounds like this. Skatting and strumming has always been a strength. So glad he gave us one track like this. 4) Love In Slow Motion. This will be loved, played and sung at all weddings. Ed's upper register in the 2nd half of the song sounds great. 5) Joker & The Queen. What a beautiful track. The backing symphony is amazing. More of this please. It's a majestic sound. 6) Collide. Bring me to life when you and I collide, nice lyric. Pretty catchy upbeat. The last 45 seconds is the best. 7) Bad Habits. This is the 1st single released that just worked. Not his best but just worked. The rest of the tracks are average are too poppy or boring for me. But there is enough solid songs for me to give this a 4 stars and on par with his previous album efforts.

Very disappointing! :(. Our Ed has lost lost his way...temporarily, I hope. All the opriginality he once brought to the scene is completely ahsent in this attempt. It could be any of a number of copycat artists doing their thing to a stereotypical rythmn track and a computer-generated melody/harmony hodgepodge. I'd like to give it a higher rating because I really like Ed's past work but as far as this album is concerned, it's a one star as far as I am concerned. I was very disappointed and I'm really hoping that this is just a one-time affair and that he will get back to what made him so interesting.

Graham Norton show sold me. Have taken kids and wife to an Ed Sheehan concert and I went to Dave and Busters when concerts were still a thing. They love him, I tolerate the pop-i-ness of his music. He’s talented, don’t ever get me wrong there but not my thing. I felt he sort of ruined the yesterday movie, however he was the bigger name at the time…. But he’s no beetle lol I just watched the Graham Norton Show tonight re: the newest James Bond Movie and Ed was the musical guest. Maybe it’s because Of Covid, maybe it’s the fact it’s Friday night and I’m still in my own house, who knows….. Most of the musical guests on his (Graham’s) show sound good but you can tell it’s live and not produced because it’s just ok. Ed came on and I gotta be honest…. It sounded freaking awesome. He had back-up singers, keyboard, extra guitars…. It sounded as good if not better than an album! I brought my daughter down and we listened to it again… Danced around a bit… and went right to iTunes and pre-bought this album. Three songs to start and…. Worth it. I’m not a solid believer, but I’m enjoying the songs currently! So if you’re a fan I think you’ll love it and…. Being so young still and now a father, by his own admission he’s had some growing up to do. Perhaps his lyrics and tunes will mature as well and a film like yesterday will be made about him!?!
