Black Widow Opening Credits Song. Haunting. Chilling. Eerie. Beautiful. The song paired so well with the opening of the movie. I love the cover— it’s well done and strikes a chord for sure. The emotions this song evoked while watching the opening of the movie will be long lasting to say the least.

Meh. I liked the slow jam, but needed all this tune for it? I mean, it’s a slow song and would be better without that much backing vocal and effect.

Not a Coincidence. I will never believe that this song coming out a week prior to the opening of Black Widow as a coincidence. I will always think of it as the theme song for Black Widow.

Breathtaking. This song, after listening to it on repeat for hours on end, has to be my favorite song. I always say I will never have a favorite song because there is so much music that is undiscovered, but this song blew me away. With a twist on the nirvana classic, this song was able to paint a beautiful picture as to what it music is all about, the difference another artist can have on a singular song. Hearing this in the new Black Widow movie in the opening scene was enough to move me to tears. The scene was so beautiful acted out and put together. This song was really what brought it all together and gave it the breathtaking experience. I will continue to have this song on repeat for days. This song makes me feel as though I am living in a world that is not mine, almost like an escape. It is very hard to make a cover better then the original, but I can easily say this is very close to be if not better then the original. Well done!

Have to Get it!. Amazing! It’s a song that’s hard to describe in words but sounds phenomenal when you listen to it! The Artist Malia J did a fantastic job with this song. Honestly, I don’t know how this artist isn’t up there with the big stars. She made many great songs like this one.

Good Cover of a Cover. This was a good cover…but I wouldn’t call it original. 20 years ago, Tori Amos covered Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the exact style that Malia J is using. Just swap out a piano for a computer, but the way they sing it is identical.

Amazing used in opening scene of Black Widow. I hadn’t heard this version before watching Black Widow last night. It’s a perfect reflection of what happened to the lost girls of the Red Room. I love that Malia J took an hyper iconic song of a generation and made it fresh for 2021. Amazing!!

Hauntingly Beautiful Cover. First heard this cover during the opening credits of Black Widow on opening day and fell in love with it. I love the original song by Nirvana of course (child of the 80s/90s), but this take is amazing. For the naysayers and complainers: covers exist, and have well before most of us were alive. It’s not like she stole the song/chords/lyrics and calling them her own.
