Again?. I purchesed the Original when it was first released and have always thought it was the very best (Former Beatle) solo album... The other three had great songs, but as an Album of work, the original All Things Must Pass was the best. The re-releases just fall flat to me. I don't know why you would re-write the history of this album by changing the mix around. The original had such a great mix and blend of vocals and instruments, that pumping up George's Vocals seems to change the vibe... Maybe it's just me... But can you imagine what J.L. would say to all these re-releases and remixes?

so good. so good

ATMP. I bought the 8 LP box set. Listening to my favorite song “Ballad of Sir Francis Crisp” I noticed that the vocals were much different and the piano almost missing. I really like the demo discs. The change of the first 2 discs was too drastic. It’s like they wanted to remove Phil Spector from the recordings. Great sounding but too different. George had a great sense of humor and voice. Always my favorite Beatle.

Classic. A Classic Album gets a delightful makeover

Buy it twice. So nice. That’s it

Why mess with perfection?. Agree with others that the remix is not what this was meant to sound like. It isnt just cleaned up. Its changed and rebalanced. The original had perfect balance. You want to remix it to minimize the wall of sound because Phil was a jerk? The original is beautiful. Should not be touched but only to clarify it. Not change it. Buying the original.

Refining The "Wall Of Sound" Into Something Different. I've never been an absolute devotee of the Phil Spector, Wall of Sound production technique. At times it has felt overblown and far too pretentious for my rock and roll sensibilities. When listenting to the original release of "All Things Must Pass", I thought it was absolutely terrific, but all the reverb and echo created by Phil Spector, always detracted more than it enhanced this particular record. Even when George Harrison himself worked on the 2001 re-release of the album, he was very tempted to tone down all the echo and reverb. What George's son, Dhani, and the gentlemen at Abbey Road who have worked on the other Beatles group and solo reissues have done here is to provide a more balanced listening experience by toning down some of Phil Spector's more heavy handed production touches, namely all that echo that drowns out some of the more subtle aspects of the recordings, allowing for a little more breathing room for individual instrumental parts and in some cases, George's vocals, to now be heard more clearly. Understandably, some fans may find this to be a desecration of the true artistic intent of expression by artist and producer. If you feel that way, I suggest sticking to the 2014 remasters released as part of "The Apple Years" boxed set. As for me, I see this as a new way to hear and appreciate a great work of art from another perspective. Whether it's better or not than the original, some parts are better, some are not. It all evens out. The added demos and outtakes certainly are interesting to those of us who enjoly following the artistic process of how a song evolves from demo, to work in progress, to finished master. For the price, True Beatles Follower that I am, it was worth the money.

PERFECTION. I already really loved this album, but this new mix…. oh my god. it genuinely made me love the album so much more, honestly, probably my favorite album of all time now. the clarity of these mixes are STUNNING - everything sounds much more alive and direct and in result feels more powerful the original. I will always love the original, and love the effects of it on tracks like Behind That Locked Door - but the 2020 mix uncovers alot of really wonderful instrumental lines that were kind of blurred over by the titantic amount of Wall of Sound. it feels more colorful and expansive and immersive. Awaiting on You All sounds mindblowingly amazing, as well as Wah-Wah. Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp somehow even more mysteriously beautiful than it did on the original, Let It Down also sounds incredible. Everything does, really. To Dhani and everyone who worked on these - y’all really did an amazing job. this new mix is extraordinary.

goat?. goat.

Nice Remix. All Things Must Pass is the best album made by any solo Beatle. I just listened with headphones comparing the original with this new release. The biggest difference is that George Harrison’s vocals are much more prominent in the mix. Overall, I’m a bit underwhelmed by the sound quality of both the original and this new remaster. Yes, it’s a 50+ year recording, but some of the Beatles albums which are older actually have better sound quality. I would’ve expected better from Phil Spector. Also, now that I can hear more details in the vocals, I don’t think George was in his best voice during these sessions.

George’s Landmark Album.. I have “All Things Must Past” on cd and it was remastered in 2014 and it sounds way better than this 2021 remaster by leaps and bounds. This newly remastered version has way too much bass. The volume has also been pumped way up. It’s just a terrible job of remastering. It’s a shame that this classic of George’s can’t even be remastered properly. I’m giving this three stars for the lousy remaster. It is a five star album no question about it but not the way they added tons of bass and made it so loud ruins it.

rock. good

Yay. 50 years

Unnecessary. stick with the original. All the demos and outakes are just a waste. Totally unnecessary release

FINALLY!!!. I have been waiting this for too long... finally we can listen to this stripped down, intimate sound rather than that phony Spector-produced wall of sound thing! Great pump up on the bass with more clear sound in every instruments, along with George's voice. thank you Dhani, and thank you George.

how many times?. yes this is wonderful! when i was younger in the 70's i bought the original album, then of course the cassete version for the car and shortly after the thirty year anniversary-- i probably will buy this version as well but wish i could only buy the songs that i don't have already-- of course the total of all the "new" songs justifies the expense-

Money Grab. I have the 35th anniversary edition, George passed away nearly 20 years ago now, the well is dry. This is priced sky high for what you get. That aside, a truly wonderfully album and a must listen for any music fan.

Excellent!. So many surprises here! A couple of new tunes and demos! If you already live this album this is a pure delight. So glad to hear George again—especially during these troubled times of disconnect, this album puts life in perspective. Sorely needed.

The &39 album#39& in the world!. I’m '&28 and you and me think 38#28#&&.

WHO MIXED THIS?. The original is a landmark record. The remix is totally unlistenable. The lead vocals are pushed too forward and the rest of the music is inaudible. The bass and drums are sluggish and muddy. Someone just plain blew it and I'm so disappointed because I expected to hear the amazing interplay between the musicians that were so inspired by George's work. I view this record as all marketing and a straight up money grab. Save your cash and buy the original. If I could return it I would.
