alternative masterpiece. In the 1990s, Madonna made a sharp left turn into r&b music with her album Bedtime Stories. One of the songs from the album is very different from the rest of it, perhaps because Björk co-wrote it. Madonna looked to Björk’s album ‘Debut’ for musical inspiration. Afterward, she asked Björk to write a tune for her. This flattered Björk, she took the offer because “she wanted the Queen of Pop to sing her words.” A mid-tempo electronic and house song with acid, ambient techno influences. "Bedtime Story" has an underlying skeletal synth melody influenced by minimal trancemusic. The track unconventional, electronic sound was a departure from the pop-R&B-based tracks throughout the rest of the album. Bedtime Story is about Madonna leaving the realm of logic behind. It has the unusual refrain “Let’s get unconscious, honey.” Lyrically, the song talks about the joys of the unconscious world. The track Björk co-wrote for Madonna is offbeat alternative vibe with a beautiful single cover which makes madonna look like a completely different person.

Justice for Bedtime Stories!. It’s such a shame that the album this single is from didn’t get the acclaim it deserved. Bedtime Stories is one of Madonna’s best works from the 90’s and this track is still stunning today. I still listen to the album and still sounds so fresh. Such a beautiful lush sound. Great to have the EP avail. On ITunes finally and wish we could get all of Madonna’s remix EPs on iTunes. Give Madonna more credit for her musical legacy. She is a one of a kind artist that we will never see the likes of again.

WoW. This track was released in 1994 and gave us a sneek peak at what was to come with Ray Of Light. Its Way ahead of it time and is now contemporary. The Video is amazing and sits in The Smithsonoan Museum. These remixes have been incredably hard to find as some where never released in cd just Vinyl or Promos. Still great. Even though some of Juniors Remixesw sound a little dated the Orginal track is still the best. The B side Survival should have been a single.
