Anywhere Away From Here. Song saved my life.. 5 stars aint enough

Well done, very different than expected. COVID-19 changed a lot of lives, and threw a lot of extra challenges at everyone. This album is clearly a product of people going through too much, and trying to find new ways to deal with life. Funny thing is, R&B decided to lighten and hollow out their sound. Nowhere near as raw or powerful. I take this as the guys suddenly losing their foundations, and seeking a new place for their music to come from. Like all of us, time will tell of this is a temporary glitch, or permanent situation. Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy this album for what it is.

Nope. I’m so confused. I don’t know what I just listened to but it sure wasn’t Rag’n’Bone Man. I’m all for artists reaching outside their comfort zones and expanding their horizons, but this sounds like all the other over-produced pop garbage that’s out there already. He needs to get back to his roots with that gritty, bluesy soul that put him on the map in the first place. Hopefully the rest of the album is better...

Dreams do come true. Ever since I heard of Rag four years ago in New Zealand the first thing I thought is how amazing a duet with P!nk would be.

Glad I'm not alone in feeling this is * basic*. By definiton I'm not a fan of much new music, but I give a lot a shot—out of curiousity and a desire to find a great modern-day artist. No disrespect intended, but this sounds like your standard outlier kid, with the big burly voice from (insert name of any realityTV singing show)—who "makes every song his" when he performs it. The boy has talent and can sing, but the songs are basic and unmemorable. This sounds like a lot of other generic stuff being pumped out these days—and guys like this owe a lot to a guy like NTB's Bear Rinehart. NeedToBreathe has (sadly) also gone this basic route, but their stronger albums "The Outsiders", "The Reckoning" and parts of "Rivers In The Wasteland" feature this style of music—with superior songwriting and and authenticity, opposed to this paint (sing)-by-numbers songwriting here.

Raw and Honest. I love his voice. There are songs on this album that feel like they came directly from my thoughts and he makes them sound the same way I feel them.

No Emotion. I had such high expectations for this release. To be fair maybe that was the issue, I had too high of expectations? I just didn’t feel any real emotion here. The songs felt flat. I’ve read some reviews criticizing those of us who are critical and suggesting we need to accept new styles, that’s not what’s here. I’m all for artists expanding, but not by sacrificing quality and emotion. It really feels like he’s just going through the motions. I really wanted to love this, I still do. I listen and want to feel something, but it’s just not there. I’ll have to hope for and wait for his next try.

Love it!. When I heard that Rag and Bone man had collaborated with Pink on ‘Anywhere away from here’ I was intrigued as I love these two artists, especially Pink. I certainly wasn’t disappointed, What a great song! Love it! I really like the other songs we can hear from Rag and Bone man too.

Great voice but samey album. Love his voice and soul music! My issue with this album is everything sounds the same, there’s no real consistent innovation across the album. So far the standout tracks are def the singles.

Life by misadventure. Every now and again a decent singer comes along and can prove they are not a one hit wonder . For those of us who like his slow songs he’s promised us a great album . For those who slate him go and buy a teeny bopper album and get a life . If you had his talent you’d be a star and have all his money . But you don’t so shut up !

Another level.. Generations will look back on this artist and wish they were alive to listen to him live the same way people look back on Beethoven and Mozart today.
