good. very good

Thrilled so far!. Still thankful for my freind who sent me their music because he said it was right up my alley with RATM. Took a couple listens to get used to this tempo, but it has a upbeat vibe that to me is what we all need right now. Those who are bashing this must have forgotten that we are still IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Yet Mike still channles something from that and provides a silverling for thos who are struggling. Looking forward to 4/30/21

Perfect Retool of their sound. All bands are gonna change at some point, and Royal blood dives head-first into change. Adding more groove and funk, the band still retains who they are in the end. Thanks guys!

Don’t Listen to those Who Can’t Handle Change. First off, everybody saying this should no longer be classified as rock and now is pop had clearly never listened to music before because this is still very clearly rock n roll. To act like classic rock bands never did anything like this is ludicrous. As for Royal Blood, this is the exact jolt of energy they needed in their career right now. I love their old sound, but it was starting to get old even by the last album. This is the perfect blend of trying something new while still staying in a very comfortable lane. These songs have been proper naughty so far, and blindly hating it just because it’s a little groovier is simply silly.

Typhoon blew me away!. A bit of a different sound but I must say a good song is a good song no matter what. I'm still amazed that this mainly a duo. Give it a few listens before you poo-poo it! If you don't think this album is rock then I guess you haven't listened to "Boilermaker" which may be they're best song to date and will knock out you're teeth! Thanks guys for putting out an album that shows growth and ability to expand on a unique sound.

Disappointing style departure. Absolutely love the first two albums. Have seen them play live three times. This departure and new direction is lame. Poppy sounding junk. So far this new album is junk guys. Cmon

Like the direction. The dance rock combo is the jolt of energy we need right now in the world. Haters just don’t want to have fun

Overproduced. Why oh why has this band gone this direction? After an awesome debut we, their past two efforts have just been overproduced crap.

Fire!. This album is fire! Loved the prior albums and love the vibes on this one.

Album # 3 is a great addition to anyone's library. This album is unique because it shows the guys expanding their influences and sound on some songs. However, the majority of these songs hold true to the duos punching groove roots. Very excited to hear some great music!

On fire guys!!!. To be a band, you have to be true to yourself. Look at Led Zep first 4 and went from Lemon Song to Stairway. Good to hear organ, piano, vocal singers, violins on RB yet preserve and persevere in this age of critical ears. All in all outstanding product going beyond a bass groove and drums. Excited to see new material!

Fire 🔥. This is great. Purchased 🤘🏻❤️

New direction. I love the new direction they are going in but I hope they don’t completely leave behind their old stuff

Awesome!. This could be their best album if the rest of the songs are this good

Great Sound!. What a great sound and surprise! They are taking rock foward and into the next decade of 2020s!

Meh. Not a trash album, but definitely not their best work. After Trouble’s Coming, every song sounds the same.

Groovin’ rock!. These guys continue to make great music! Three albums in, and they are still rocking! I like how they incorporate some cool dance groove jams while still rocking just as hard. Keep it up guys.

Royal Blood. I like it.

Bummer. Still a fan of these guys because the first two albums were 🔥but, trying to do something new i get. Because you dont want to do something you’ve already done. But go back to the realm ya’ll started in. Wrong direction. This album will most likely be there down fall #sadbuttrue

This isn’t good. I understand wanting to reach out into a new direction. Unfortunately, they stepped into the same rehashed synth pop that dominates alt rock radio. What was an original sound now sounds like a top 40 band that lost its way. What a shame.

Totally KICKASS!!!. Royal Blood is one of the best modern rock bands I've heard. These guys are at the top of their game! I've listened to Royal Blood's first two albums multiple times, and can confidently say that they're the next biggest thing in rock music. This is coming from a guy who loves all the classics; everything from The White Stripes to Jimi Hendrix. They also have the Jimmy Page stamp of approval! You know you're a kickass band when Jimmy Page is a fan of your music!! I can't wait for this release!! Keep it up Royal Blood!! Rock on!!!

Best One Y3t….. This is by far the boys’ finest effort. The Black ABBAth feels I get from this record give me the hot and fluffies. I found myself making the funk face, while listening to this album, that I think it froze that way. Bravo Lads, you’ve soiled my shorts once more.

Ignore the Pre-Release Reviews!. Solid album! Don't let the negative ratings from before the album was even out steer you away. This album sort of combines the first two while still growing the band... that is probably confusing to some but I basically mean the album maintains a lot of the greatness of the first two and adds some new ideas in. I waited until this had been out for one month and listened solidly before I made a final judgement. A month in and I still feel that this is the most complete Royal Blood album of the three out there so far.

When did Royal Blood turn into The Weeknd?. Looks like their last album was their last good one.

Feels like a Crisis..... Royal Blood started out great with their last 2 albums. I wasn't expecting them to take a dance rock route. Not even bands like Franz Ferdinand can take this to an overproduce matter. The duo really added too many elements involving more of the "dance" roots but what didn't grab me was it sounded formulaic. I do enjoy the title track and hold on, but the rest of them are just okay tracks if it wasn't for the formula-driven production. Nothing wrong giving positive energy but. my expectations were low on this.

Awesome. 10 steps forward. Incredibl album , Rb rule !

Interesting new direction. Excited to see this sound evolve

Solid Beginnings with New Style. Their is a lot of hate for this new album before it has even dropped. Yes we have 4 songs to set our expectations, but these one star reviews based on the 4 songs are rather harsh. These are especially true for those who say that this album isn’t rock or doesn’t sound anything like their previous albums. Trouble’s Coming guitar hits hard, but not as dark in tone compared to previous albums. The chorus has a haunted or ghostly feel on the vocals and a nice hook to it. The song overall has a night out on the town and owning it type of feel to it. So far it is my favorite song of the four. Typhoons is probably the most pop sounding song of the four and it’s easy to dismiss it as just pop like other reviewers have, but listening to the guitar it has a dark, shredding sound. What makes it sound so poppy are the other elements of the song such as the continuous tambourine for a beat, the lightening of the guitar on the chorus, and the general high pitch of the word Typhoons on the chorus. It’s a clear experiment on their sound, but it still sounds like Royal Blood. Limbo, I honestly didn’t care for. I’m not sure what it is, but it just doesn’t click with me. Some things to note is the initial opening starts off with a techno keyboard before turning into that dark guitar we all know and love building up to the chorus. The chorus has a dance vibe to it a bit more akin to Franz Ferdinand, think of a heavier Do You Want To dance beat. Boilermaker is the heaviest and hardest hitting of the four songs we’ve gotten. This song could have been thrown on one of the previous two albums and you couldn’t tell it was from this album. This song is the closest to their signature sound that fans most associate with them. Based on the four songs I would personally rate this 4 stars only because I didn’t care for Limbo however I give it 5 stars due to all the 1 star reviews saying this isn’t Royal Blood or this isn’t rock. This is Royal Blood. It says so on the album. This is rock. Is it as hard as previous albums? Not exactly. If anything you can classify this as pop rock, but I don’t like to think that because then you’re lumping them in with Imagine Dragons who made millions off of saying “Lightning and the thunder” for who knows how many times. Royal Blood and these songs definitely deserve better than that.

Great CD. Enjoy this direction that Royal Bloods have gone. Its different and grooves hard.

Truly exceptional. If you’ve read the negative comments, know this. People don’t like change. This album isn’t heavy forward, it’s disco rock. But it’s drenched with everything about Royal blood, it just has neon packaging. I challenge any naysayer to tell me that the riff for “oblivion” is pop. I have been cranking this album every day, 2-4 times a day. It’s amazing, it’s addictive, it’s well written and it’s a blast.

Excellent. Been a huge fan of these guys and I absolutely love their first 2 records. This new direction is like a breath of fresh air and more of an evolution. Slightly different but not so much where you don’t know who you’re listening to anymore. Their music never gets old, and entry is very much welcomed 🤘🏻🔥

There goes another rock band. Jumping on the dance music bandwagon and ruining the band. See ya later RB. It doesn't make it better or of wider appeal. Just a bad album. i.e. the last 2 Foo Fighters albums.

Can’t say yet...excited to see though. What I will say is I love this band...I understand where they are going... just like the black keys, the blue stones, and other various bands in the rock world that are are seemingly at a point of wanting to release something more upbeat. I think with this it’ll depend on where the rest of the album goes... if they stay true to form it’ll be amazing if you understand that artists write from the heart and where they are in their life. Which means things may sound different throughout their career... not that they are just selling out for the sake of album sales as some have said on here. Look at Queen folks...no one believed in them when they wanted to release the music they did...and they revolutionized the rock world. Lol...so I’m excited to see where this album goes!

Wrong Direction. Stick with what you know, which is hard-driving RATM/Zeppelin-esque thundering, classic rock. The first two tracks are an enormous departure from the first two albums. Definitely not a fan. Hope the rest of the album doesn’t sound like this.

Amazing as usual. Best band ever!

Good song. Good song

Departure from previous releases. Yikes. This is really bad. More dace pop than rock. Huge disappointment that they’re moving in this direction.

Meh. Boilermaker is such a killer tune. But the rest of the record is all the same neo-disco dance pop stuff. Comforable 3-minute songs that just repeat over and over. With falsetto backing vocals. Same thing after same thing. This isn’t bad, but it’s basically exactly Hard-Fi like 10 years ago. And that band no longer exists really. They also did it better. Bass lines are fun. I love hard rock. I love dance beats, and I love pop. I hope we get back to a world that has a place for all of it, because we keep getting watered down crap like this because it’s the only career move. Except for maybe getting into acting.

Phenomenal. Love the new sound, another masterpiece from the boys

Love their new stuff!. Been into them for almost two years bow and their music never is boring or tiresome, cycling around LA this is perfect! Riding down the freeways with the top down this just sets the tone of the day. These guys are fantastic and just keep making killer music that should be more well known. Haven’t heard one bad song from them.

Death From Above 1979 already exists.stop it!. Sigh.....(shoulder shrug).

Consistently good. This is a good album and doesn’t sound that different from their other stuff y’all are some weirdos

Major bummer. Here’s the thing, I’m all for bands changing and growing. But when your favorite rock band turns into a dance pop band, it’s a bit of a slap to the face. Same as when QOTSA released their horrible last album. I’m sure they’ll make a lot more money putting this crap on tv shows and movies, but it’s not the band it use to be

Real fans don’t gatekeep.. I thought I would hate the disco sound, but honestly it’s impossible not to love. Mike’s falsetto + dance beats = Black Holes era Muse, in a good way. I’ve always loved the heaviness of Royal Blood’s first EP and self-titled album; the second album wasn’t so impressive musically, but I wouldn’t want an artist to keep making the same records over and over when they deserve the right to grow and mature and explore different sounds if they want to. And kudos to Mike for taking care of his health! Seriously guys, stop the gatekeeping. We don’t own Mike & Ben and they don’t owe us ANYTHING. If you don’t like “the new sound”, then you don’t actually like the band, you just like their first album. Just go listen to that instead of complaining about not getting your way.

I like the change. It’s more pop and takes more advantage of studio tricks but the songs are very catchy. Starting to remind me of queens of the Stone Age on a few songs

Umm... Swing and a miss. Where’s the rock?

The Best So Far. Flawless from beginning to end. The most infectious grooves yet. I can’t express how they’ve exceeded my expectations, and I was already a fan.

Amazing. I get why everyone is upset over them changing up their style a little bit but honestly I completely trust Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher at this point and these guys are my new favorite band I literally have yet to hear a bad song by them. Even all we have is now is absolutely amazing and hits different after rocking out to every other song. Also if you order off of their website and get the digital deluxe you get King and Space and those 2 songs are probably my new favorite songs!

What happened?!?. This straight garbage.

very good but. the only reason I wouldn't 5 star this is because it has a lot in common with Death From Above 1979s new one. 2 bands going in the same direction by accident? probably not. And though I love Josh Homme, the albums he produces all seem to be heading in the dance groove direction. But this is solid. All of it

Suckybigtime. C'mon guys...what the f... is this? Pure unadulterated crap...

Bon de A à Z. Il y a longtemps que j’avais pas acheté un aussi bon album

ALL FOR THIS!. I really love the direction they went with this album It’s got a nice groove to it all gives me a nice step when walk-in my dog lol

Hmmm it's just 'OK'. Love Royal Blood, huge sound, lots of swagger...but...this record is a bit of a miss in my opinion. I like exactly 3 songs. I can appreciate the change in sound, but a lot of songs have the same type of drum dance beat....gets a bit repetitive.

Normally I love these guys.... Sorry fellas, but this was a miss.

Remember when. U2 made a disco album. Well... this is Royal Bloods disco album. From hard and edgy to vomiting dayglo. Definitely not a step in the right direction unless the plan all along was to sell out and make top 40 radio safe garbage.

Yet Another Banger!. These guys are so talented. I know a lot of people love their raw sound but I love the direction this album took. I love when bands try new things and experiment with different styles. Plus it’s a very personal record to them and you can tell. Every riff, every beat, every lyric hits hard! Worth a million listens.

Another band that falls to overproduction. Really liked Royal Blood's first couple albums but if the first couple singles is any inducation of which direction they are taking on this 2021 elease then it falls in the we ruined an album by listening to a record label that wanted us to sound overproduced so we sound like everyone else - while doing this the band also seems to loose some of their unique drive that pushed the songs forward and kept their sound also different from many other newer rock bands which is why they became popular. The obvoius overproduction takes away some of the heft they had in their sound while also making them like everybody else in a overproduced 21st century rock band.

Need Space and King on this album.. How do I buy “Space” and “King”? Two awesome sounds that I wish were on this album.

Boring album. At the first listen (rapid), I said it’s gonna be a good album. At the second listening, I said this is the worst album they have ever made. Their single are good, but the rest is a complete mess. Musically, the melody is horrible. They try something different but for me, the disco thing in a stone rock sounds weird. I bought the album and I regretted it for a fan of this band.

Totally different!. Been a fan for a while, I like it. I hear influences from Daft Punk, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys. Boilermaker is a Slapper!

Super Hot Rock n Roll. If the first two tracks are any indication, this is gonna be an album of non stop bangers! Mike and Ben are a genius duo.

Pourri. Presque toutes les chansons sont pareil et ont le même beat Mel and son
