Love this show and album but iTUNES is the worst!. I am very disappointed in how the preorder of this album has rolled out. I paid for the entire album to get songs as they were released which of course didn’t work. Now that the whole album has been released they were not in the correct order. I removed the download to try to re download and now it looks to force me to download one at a time. I will not prepurchase anything again.

I recommend this cast recording to everyone I meet. LITERALLY EVERYONE.. Every time I listen to this, I cry in a different spot. It is so powerful and moving, and the music is brilliant.

This album is a masterpiece. It’s amazing

Beautiful BUT. Look don’t get me wrong, this album is FANTASTIC sort of 1st of all: The songs don’t download in the correct order so you have to make a playlist to listen to it correctly SECONDLY (and this is much more frustrating, it that the transitions between songs is botched in some places. For example Epic II into Chant is clunky and it sounds like it should flow well but it doesn’t for some reason and it’s one of the best parts of the show, so it’s quite frustrating to see it so sloppy. Also quite frankly even worse is Doubt Comes In into Road to Hell Reprise sounds like the end of the first song is cut off instead them flowing together, when in the show it flowed beautifully so it kind of ruins the ending. Please fix this ITunes

Can't download final tracks. I received the email telling me the latest tracks from my pre-order are available to download (the final Orpheus/Eurydice ones) but clicking the link or checking for available downloads I am PROMPTED TO BUY the last remaining tracks. PLEASE FIX.

my FAVORITE musical! 🚂. Hadestown is such a masterpiece it’s incredible. One moment I’m jumping and dancing and one moment I’m crying, absolutely beautiful. My favorite musical and I HOPEHOPEHOPE I can see it when they go on tour. LISTEN TO THIS MUSICAL NOWNOWNOW!!! ❤️

Should be called the best musical to exist. Everything about this musical is so amazing! The cast is incredible, and the music is just about the best thing to exist! Great thing to be obsessed with during quarantine

Where are the other half of my songs. I spent $20 to preorder this album and I still haven’t gotten most of the songs. Now it is saying I have to buy them again this is crap I love this musical but you need to fix this.

Slime Tutorial FTW. About six months ago, I was surfing on YouTube when a “slime tutorial” popped up on my feed, but the thumbnail obviously wasn’t about the title. Curiosity got the best of me and I spent the next two hours watching this masterpiece, I was beyond enthralled with it all. Immediately after, I bought the soundtrack and been listening to it frequently. I introduced my daughters to it, and they too love it. I keep checking to see if they going to have the production in my area. Thank you YouTube rabbit holes!

Nothing Short of Life-Changing. I did a listen all the way through this morning and was moved to tears on multiple occasions. This story is so special (and you can get just about all of it through the recording!). From the writing to those performing it,, there is so much talent in this recording.

Absolutely Beautiful. This musical is cosmic and life changing. I literally experience life differently ... more beautiful after seeing Hadestown on Broadway. Hopefully all can enjoy and find their own harmony through this art.

Five Stars. But iTunes makes it 1 Star. So many of the songs won’t download after the full album released. Just listed as “purchased.” And they don’t appear as an option to download... though they are on the purchase history. And of course, there’s no way to get someone who can help fix the issue. This is ridiculous.

The Best Show I’ve Ever Seen. I saw this show about a week ago and i cannot get the music out of my head. not only is it catchy, but it is extremely unique. each character has a style in which they sing in that creates musical diversity. this soundtrack is truly a masterpiece. Anaïs’s years of work truly paid off. (not to mention that the show overall is amazing as well)

Why is this so addictive.. Oh boy, I see why De Shields got the tony, and understand why this won so many Tony’s. It’s amazing. I can’t stop listening to it.

How to fix songs downloaded in wrong order?. I’d really like to enjoy this album with the songs in the proper order!!!

Gorgeous. I’ve been a fan of Hadestown since the concept album and have greatly enjoyed its various iterations as they worked to build the Broadway version. While there are one or two cuts and rewrites that I don’t love in this final version, overall it is a gorgeous album that is thrilling to listen through. The release schedule was a mess and greatly frustrating, but I don’t think that was iTunes’ fault. Now that we have the full thing, I am loving it.

Awesome! Gapless playback problem though 👀. Honestly, amazing album. When the whole thing was finally released it was like finally *getting* it, you know? BUT, between "Epic II" and "Chant" there is an unsightly (unsoundly?) gap when the songs should just flow into each other. This is not Apple's problem, it happens on the Spotify version too. Compare it to the segue of "Come Home With Me" into "Wedding Song" - seamless as it should be. Buy it anyway though. ;)

Stop giving one star reviews for itunes fault.. This soundtrack is just beautiful, this is by far one of if not my most favourite musicals. It’s just so unique. Yes I had trouble getting it. I had to actually cancel my preorder and re-obtain it but that seemed to work for me. But please for the love of pete stop giving the album one star for an issue on Apple’s end. You are ruining it’s rating! Give it the proper rating but have the title say something like wont download. Or better yet, if you can’t download it yet, don’t review it yet.

Absolutely stunning in every way! ❤️🥀. This musical is now one of my favorite musicals of all time!! The cast is amazing, the lyrics are so well written, all the little nuances you notice upon multiple listenings! It’s wonderful! Incredible Musicians and Genius Songwriting. Absolutely amazing musical. I’ve been following Anaïs Mitchell’s music since she came out with the original Hadestown album, and to see it progress from an Original Cast to a Broadway performance has been absolutely amazing, and each time its only gotten better. I hope to one day see this amazing musical in person, but until then the haunting lyrics and heartwarming story will continue to bless my ears.

Still not getting the final drops. I pre-ordered the album and today was the final drop. I still can’t access the songs. I’m being told to get Apple Music. No! I already paid for the album. Why don’t I have the music?

Phenomenal. I purposely waited until the full album was available before I bought the album, and I am so glad I did. A life long musical theatre fan this is hands down easily top 5 of all time for me. Well deserving of Best Musical Tony this year.

Phenomenal! 🥀. The cast is amazing and the aesthetic of the music is perfect. The musical is basically entirely sung and the small dialogue parts are represented here. This means you can not only enjoy the songs, but also the story. The original is definitely worth a listen on YouTube, but this completed version is absolutely AMAZING!
