Mixed thoughts!. I’ve loved U2 for c.25 years especially the Joshua tree, achtung baby and zooropa etc. the songs on the album are great in terms of what you get, but on the live songs from Madison Square Bono’s vocals are quite variable, ranging from Kermit the frog style in some sections to horrible vocal growling! I’m not sure if this is intentional but I find it very off putting! This might not bother some fans of course, but I’ve heard much better from Bono eg live and also various live dvds etc. all the rest of the band are on form as ever! So, tread with caution with this release I’d say! The sound recording quality is excellent, but not the growling vocals (sorry Bono!).
