The Weekend crossover with Old School Kanye. The majority of this these tracks has elements of synth wave mixed with Kanye and results at best... awkward. However to Kanye credit the beat for On Sight and Blood on Leaves is not bad but could have been better. The lyrics though-out the whole album is wrack in the same sense like rapper, “Slick Rick” when he was in prison and making rap albums for the sake making money but no favor. Very bland!!! I gave one star for attempt and another star because it is Kanye aka Blanya!

It’ll grow on you.. To the foreign ear, the music is very harsh and aggressive, although that’s what the album is, you start to like the songs overtime. It’s a done deal once you start to like “On Sight”

Instant Classic. Kanye continues to bend and merge genres, clearly apparent here with his techno/electronic beats that perfectly accentuate his bars.

ALL KILLER NO FILLER. Where do I even start. Yeezus is futuristic, confident, political, and so much more. The Physical copy is great as well. No mater how many times I listen to it, I never grow tired of the songs.

I Like It.. Ive lived with this album for about a good 4 years now, and really after repeat listens my opinion hasn’t changed on it. I find myself quoting lines frequently, not because theyre food but just how ridiculous they are. There isnt really a whole lot of substance here compared to Kanye’s other albums, and most who say there is seem to be really overblowing it. It was stated by some of his co-producers that the lyrics were like a last minute addition and it really shows. The backdrop of instrumentation is good as well, but maybe its just not for me. It’s good, but I cant give it a great rating.

Yeez is us. One of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard.

“First the like you, make them unlike you”. Definitely more abrasive yet somehow feels lacking. A small case of an artist trying new things but probably just needs a little more time in the production phase. Definitely fits in your gym playlist, with “Bound 2” serving as a nice, silly cool down jam.

Yeezus isn’t Terrible.. The lyrics are face-palming at times. Lyrically this is Kanye’s worst album, but there are some great moments on here that are overlooked. The 10-second sample in “On Sight”, the outro to “New Slaves”, and a handful of great tracks like Black Skinhead, Bound 2, I Am A God, Hold My Liquor, Guilt Trip, and especially Blood On The Leaves. “Send It Up” and “I’m In It” were tracks that had nothing really special about them. Other than that, the album will definitely grow on you! 3/5 (mainly because of “I’m In It” and “Send it Up”)

best Kanye album. This album is genius, 10/10 not a single song doesn’t hit. 100 years this album will be his highlight.

An experiential masterpiece. Kanye had put so many ideas into this album Rick Rubin had to ‘reduce’ it to give it a clear direction. An album telling the story of Yeezus with sounds too progressive for the people in 2013. Now it is seen as a masterpiece.
