Too relatable. To the people that rated one star; like Nate said in Intro 2, “If you want music that tells you what you want to hear, I don’t know what you are doing here”. Don’t hate on the music for being real. Don’t hate on the music because you are sensitive to reality. Instead give props to Nate for being brave enough to put words to the sad reality that you are too scared to talk about. How Could You Leave Us is my exact life story except that it was my dad, and he is still alive running from the cops and not paying child support. This song made me cry even though I have never had any feelings about the situation with my dad. So I just wanna say: Good job Nate.

I know it’s long, but I beg you… just read it. ALL.. I hadn’t realized I’d heard of NF until this past December. My friend and I were doing karaoke and he put on the song “The Search”. I listened to the lyrics and they intrigued me. I looked up him up and listened to the rest of his albums. It wasn’t til “Let You Down” came up that I realized I’d heard of NF before (I was one of those people—“Let You Down’s the only song you’ve heard of? Well then you’re behind”) I continue to listen to NF (as I am right now while I write this review) and await his next album. I have a lot of respect for the man. He simply writes what he feels, however there's nothing simple about his music. One thing my friend (who introduced me to NF) and I were talking about was about we love the fact that he knows the Lord and includes that in some of his songs, but also that he doesn’t allow him to pretend that just because he knows God that his life is perfect, and that he acknowledges the fact that he still deals with heavy, captivating emotions. This is one thing that really made me gain respect for NF. And what’s wild is most of the time I can’t even really relate to his music. I’m not depressed or writhing in pain or feel like I’m alone all the time. But there are times where I DO need to hear his words, because, in the moment, I AM depressed or I AM alone or I DO Hate Myself, and it’s extremely refreshing. I wanna go on about the songs I love and why, but who knows how long I’d be typing for. ;) Thanks for reading.

Therapy Session. I’m only rating this one song bc it’s the only one I’ve heard so far, but I love it. Listening to this song is like a therapy session fir ME thanks to a tough childhood. I listen to this when I lift weights too and it gives me crazy energy (side note - I’m a mom in my mid 40’s who still loves this kind of music).

Pls read (Sorry it is so long). I am not a Christian, but that does not mean I immediately hate NF. It isn’t a bad thing to not have a religion or to have one. He has the best and most inspirational songs of all time. When I grow up I wanna be a singer (and maybe an actor/comedian) like NF. Except NF is a Christian and a rapper. I enjoy his music and I know lots of people do, too! I struggle with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and maybe OCD. ( Which I haven’t been diagnosed yet) If you, NF are seeing this, I hope you can have an amazing life and your child will grow up to be an inspiration to many people, just like you are.

Top-notch. Seriously. NF says such logical things, if the world paid closer attention to the wisdom he shares, we’d all be better off. Plus, he usually enunciates clearly enough that even the fastest lines can be heard, without having to look up the lyrics. Not necessarily uplifting, but like many Psalms, sometimes it’s good to cry out to God and just tell Him what’s up, and letting others listen in and add their voices reminds us we aren’t alone.
