The Best!. These gals can write and sing. Some wonderful stories told here that will make you smile while others will bring a tear amid tight musical arrangements and clever lyrics. And their harmonies are smooth as honey. This is what country music should be today. These ladies are authentic to their genre...not pop, rock or rap people calling themselves “country”, and I hope this album gets the recognition that a quality collection like this deserves. Radio needs to listen to this! Buy it! Go Annies!

Great talent. I don’t often buy entire albums, but this one has many hits. I’ve given up on radio because they don’t play female musicians enough. Great songwriting from strong women of country music!

Love these songs!. I pre-ordered this album the first day I could. So excited for new music and this does not disappoint. For those of you complaining about Miranda still talking about her divorce, get over it. This was a part of her life and always will be. Did you stop to think that these songs may have been written during that time period? Anyway....can’t wait to get the full album tomorrow!

Beautifully Honest. Hearing Best Years of my Life sucked me into this album. Leavers’ Lullaby and Milkman also stand out for their simple honesty. Commissary is interesting- first time I’ve ever heard a psychedelic country song. Apparently 3 country girls were temporarily possessed by Mazzy Star - listen through the whole song- it strangely works. The mood lightens on Stop Drop & Roll One, Sugar Daddy, and Got My Name Changed Back. Interstate Gospel is upbeat too and smacks of bluegrass. For me, Miranda has never sounded better than she does on Masterpiece, perfection. Solid album, the girls beautifully complement each other’s voices and writing.

Awesome. This is yet another fantastic addition to the array of music possessed by The Pistol Annies. There is a real emotion yet it still shows everything from daily hardships to tragic events and adds in some of that laughable humor that’s so fantastic. P.S. All these reviews talking about the shade toward Blake when he sang “She’s got a way with words”. There just trying to make two fantastic songs define the album out of spite.

Buy it. Relatable, realistic and refreshing. Once again, they don’t disappoint with this album.

A dull sameness Throughout. I'll always take a listen when it's Pistol Annies. Unfortunately this album has a suffocating production dullnes. Every track has the same sound and feeling that leaves you feeling confined and unfulfilled as country music is always about the lyrics and feelings voice and arrangement create. Not sure why Miranda has to dominate every song. Let her mates stand up front and demonstrate their talent. Bit of a dissapointment this time out

CREATIVITY FROM THE TOMATOES. Some broadcast consultant ran some unscientific research a while ago and conculded that female country artists are the tomatoes and the males are the lettuce. Personally I love tomatioes and these hear tomatas are hot! It's country music for listeners with more neurons than the average hot country format lover. This album is loaded with creativity and lyrics about stuff few even think about. It's full of surprises and clever production. Those who defend the current meterosexual copycat hick hop pop schmaltz will tell you that country has to progress and move with the times. Yes. I agree. THIS album is progressive in the direction I believe country was meant to take. Love these tomatos!

Excellent. This is one of the most honest albums that I have ever heard. They use clever lyrics and beautiful harmonies to really make you feel. This is so relatable, it really makes life make sense for a while.

One of the Best of 2018!. I pre-ordered this and got the first few tracks and fell in love all over again with PA. When the rest of it was released on Friday, I was waiting and downloaded all immediately. It’s been on repeat ever since and today is the following Thursday. Lyrics, compositions, and production leave nothing to be desired. These ladies can write, harmonize and tell a story better than most in country music. As the old saying goes, when you’re looking at Pistol Annies, you’re looking at country! Angeleena, Ashley and Miranda, all accomplished songwriters and singers individually, are simply FIRE when their talents are united. Love this group and this is record is truly one of the Top 5 of 2018!

Reminds me of John Prine. I think this is a strong, mature album by the Pistol Annies - what sets this one apart, aside from the high production value, is how a tune will get caught in your head in a way where you already know the words - and some of these songs are funny as hell - We're on Fire, I think?! - theme of my life. Five acres of Turnips? Ripe for the picking? This whole album reminds me of East Texas - love!

Always real. I love that they're always real, they tell it like it is even if nobody likes it. They sing about things all of us women have felt if we’re being honest . Love it !

The "Honesty" of this album is amazing.. I have quite a few Pistol Annies and Miranda Lambert albums. My favorite Pistol Annies, so far.

As for those who think this album is all about Miranda Lambert’s divorce—check out some interviews, they collaborated on these songs—there are two divorces and two ex-husbands between them. "It was a feel-good divorce song that was needed," Angaleena Presley said. "You're welcome." Don’t write this off as whiny country...enjoy the ride.

Slow. I mean it's not bad, but there are only so many slow, quiet songs I can take before I'm just bored. Got My Name Changed Back is the stand out on the albulm without question.
