Good evolution. As the tilte suggests this is a new album that moves along the journey. Personally I like it. Give it a chance!

I’m Ready!. The single sounds awesome.

Lacking. I love Disturbed but I think they may have hit a bit of a wall with Evolution. It does not sound as hard hitting as previous albums to me. Too soft, are they going to ballads now? This is what happens when bands find too much success... they get soft and are no longer hungry...

Played Safe and Stifled. Disturbed songs hit the mainstream for all the right reasons. Their sound is unique and haunting. Their lead singer is a instantly recognizable vocal power house. Their lyrics touch the soul and speak to a deeper realm of emotion. It’s a sound that is poised to evolve into a decade defining sound...if only Disturbed would let it. Reason to Fight and Hold on to Memories are instant classics sandwiched between less than memorable songs with trite rhyming schemes and Hallmark card angst. Not even the delicious Disturbed growl can elevate much of the album beyond teenage tune out appropriate background noise. It’s not a bad album, it might even be a good one, but it could have been great if more songs held the emotional resonance of their top hits. It’s disappointing to yet again scratch under the surface and find shallow waters. One of these days Disturbed will release a truly great album. I just hope when they do it’s before their greatest hits compilation.

Disturbed Warned Us With The Title Evolution. If you walk into this album expecting the hard hitting pulse pounding metal that disturbed has brought in so many of their previous albums this album will throw you off. However, like all great musicians Disturbed is showing off an ability to tackle more than one style and do it well. Evolution is filled with mournful ballads and solid vocal tracks that match their old style. The core of the album feels more optimistic than their previous albums. Instead of the focus being defensive and reactive to those attacking, these songs are focused on being on the offensive. The lyrics are focused on empowering and preparing to stand against those who they were simply lashing out against in the past. The lyrics show healing, growth, and change when seen next to their old music. In the end, we're not seeing anything they haven't hinted at over the years. Many of the songs in this album feel like their cover of the Sound of Silence and Overburdened. The album doesn't have the same emotional charge as 10k Fists though. It shows determination and drive that isn't raw and savage. It feels refined, calculated. The change in perspective and style of the band and reaction from the fans reminds me of the reaction to Eminem's Recovery album and Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight. It's a obvious growth for the band, and it's a step in their evolution. Don't expect this to be the final product, and if you don't like the style right now, don't worry they're still evolving.

Not feeling it. I like songs like a reason to fight and no more but that’s about it the rest just sound bad

Decent. Decent Jam but I thought we voted for the single release to be heavy?

They went Godsmack. Sad to say, but it happened. I assume the record label pushed it after Sound of Silence got such a response from people outside of metal/rock groups. Unfortunately this is the same issue we had with Godsmack earlier this year. Only a few of these even sound like Disturbed. The rest are, dare to say, kinda corny. Hopefully this is a fluke, but if the local soft rock/mainstream stations pick this up, goodbye Disturbed as we knew it.

screw the haters. This is amazing, it’s different and new but still has that same tone to what disturbed really is, they are evolving. Love yah 💗💗

Alright. Although I’m not fond of this album, I still think they deserve some credit for trying something new.

DISTURBED!!!. So excited for this record!

Evolve. Its nice to see that bands like this and Godsmack can show off ther voices and talents. Not has hard hitting has other albums but no one can deny his powerful voice. Dont get stuck in the land of confusion, Evolve.

Yas. Finally after immortalized we get evolution

I loved this. I love the album. despite some negative reviews left on here, I think it's a good solid album.

De-Evolution. Sad to say they took a step backwards.

Evolution for sure!. Sure this has a different sound than some of their earlier stuff, but so what. It's still a great listen. I will admit I am kinda new to Disturbed, and their Sound of Silence cover hooked me. Believe quickly became my album of choice, as I loved every song. Well, Evolution has supplanted that. Dave can still howl and growl when he needs to, just like he has done for years now, but he also continues to show a range few mortals can even dream of achieving. He sings hard on No More and Are You Ready, m moving deftly to a tad warmer sound on Hold On To Memories, Watch You Burn, and Already Gone. And of course Dan, John and Mike continue to create some great music around Dave. This has quickly become one of my favorite albums, and it truly shows this band's versatilityand willingness to maneuver. I am really glad I stumbled onto them when I did.

Excellent!. I love this album because it shows Davids softer side. I don’t feel we always need to see the tough and the brutal to shine. I was really drawn in because of the sweeter side. That doesn’t make a bad album. Great work!

🔴 It's Disturbed 🔴. Sound like something off Ten thousand fists but not as heavy. Doesn't seem though to be having a lot of commercial success considering I'm writing the first review. I hope the album does good. Also I hope there is a supporting tour that comes to RVA.

Pretty good!. I actually like it more than their other albums, despite popular belief that this album blows. It’s much more hard rock than heavy metal.

It’s still metal y’all, remember... metal.. I don’t mind the new sound. I love these guys, they’re sickeningly talented. Their arrangements and pace of the songs are great. At least it’s not like ST. ANGER. Let’s not think about that lol I’m a disturbed one! We are all disturbed!

ABOUT TIME!!!. Are you Ready is great!!!

First review??????. “Are you ready” isn’t bad. I would hope the rest of the album would come with so improvements though.

What happened?. Not a fan of this album. I never listen to it like I did all of their previous one’s. I’m really let down on how many slow melancholic songs they have on this one. Please come out with a new album soon to replace this ASAP because this is terrible stuff.

Oh.... Yep, they could get worse. Thanks for clearing that up.

Something new beats something unoriginal. I’m gonna be completely honest, this album was not what I expected. It’s not hard metal by any means, but can’t we all agree that this is 100 times better than them recycling old songs. I’ll listen to this happily because it shows that they aren’t going to try and pull a fast one and reuse their old songs.

Awful. This is their worst album to date!

EVOLUTION. I love what I am hearing and can’t wait for the rest! ARE YOU READY?!

What Happened To Disturbed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!. As a big fan since the beginning, I was shocked when this album was released. If I knew this craptastic compilation of nauseating, froo-froo pansy pop was their new direction, I NEVER would have pre-ordered this abomination!! I thought Bon Jovi was the crappiest fake, poser metal band in the world. They have officially been unseated!! WHY, DISTURBED, WHY?!?!?!?!?!

Horrid Listening Experience. This is hands down the worst Disturbed album ever made, and is possibly one of the worst albums of 2018

Meh..... I bought the album just because "Are you Ready?"... the rest of the album is weak.... too soft for my Disturbed taste.

Awesome. Disturbed have gone through some changes over the years, you might say that they have matured. I love their early work as much as their latest works, good music is good music, they may not be as hard core as they used to be, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

An all time low. I love Disturbed's other albums but this one is their worst ever in my opinion. The main appeal of their music was the aggression but now it seems like they're trying to cater for "millennials" and go softer - terrible shame for such a great band.
