Beautiful rhythmic and instrumental album. Carpenter went to town on the soundscapes and guitar layers in this album. All beautiful and out of the comfort zone of past deftones albums. However, Chino did not meet the challenge and falls short on melody and unique contribution. Singing seems tone-less and boring, it lacks any passion or intrigue. Boring harmonies and flat screams. Almost seems as if Chino used an awkward preamp or low quality mic. Songs worth checking out: Phantom Bride, Xenon, Acid Hologram and Doomed User. Be prepared to give the whole album a few listens though, it's not going to stick immediately but those that appreciate deftones will ultimately find something here.

A Change to Progressive Rock. I like this direction they've taken in this album. It's a good practice to constantly challenge the loyal listeners, such as myself, and leave behind the one-track mind type of sound that some have come to expect. I've only heard two tracks so far, but it seems to a huge shift from the last album; and that's okay! These guys are true artists.

Not what you would expect, but it's amazing. I've been a deftones fan since around 1996 and they have been my favourite band ever since. That being said, I do lean to the heavier side of music, but deftones has always been the exception for me. The hard, soft and in between have always kept me listening to them non stop, even in the multi year wait between albums. This album is not exactly the direction I thought they were gonna go, especially after Diamond Eyes , but Koi was a hint that it might. It's definitely a whole albums worth of a new direction and it's amazing, especially after listening to it a few times. You won't appreciate it after a quick listen... Let it sit with you and then you will see why the deftones are the best at what they do.

Can't even. I can't even believe I didn't know there was a new Deftones album in the works. So hyped for this to drop, they always deliver the goods.

a little disappointing. i was so excited but this album is pretty flat, deftones are my favourite band but nothing on this album really appeals to me :(

phantom bride... The whole album is no White Pony, but Phantom Bride...wow. Best song on the last few albums, hands down.

Can't wait!! Deftones never fail. Can't wait for the new album to drop. Deftones are so consistent with their music, no doubt this will be another classic album. A band that keeps on getting better with age

Deftones Best Work So Far.. Over 20 years into their career and the band can still produce absolute gems like this album. Gore sees the band continuing to push their limits and the resulting album may just be their best work yet. There is something here for fans of all the sounds the band has experimented with over the years. Yet the album as a whole flows well and is great listen in no matter the mood you may find yourself in.

Hasn't Changed abit. Been waiting for this to Drop; Will be really good to see where this album takes us.. For Chino Fans Team sleep & Palms WILL also be having a NEW album drop

Incredible album!!. This is the Deftones best work. A stunning album, so clean and crisp....it flows like a dream and sound even better. Do not ignore this album!

Great album if you want the be put to sleep!!. Dear Deftones What happen to you ? Boring tracks with no standout song.. Maybe we will see the real Deftones on the next album?

Simply. Beautiful

What a Shame. Deftones are my favourite band, it saddens be quite a bit to say that this album is their weakest to date, by far. The x2 positives from it are that it means Deftones will tour soon and that maybe Team Sleep has had more time spent on it and they will release some quality new material. Deftones were unfortunatly at their best when Chino was either angry, sad or on drugs. Warning : there are hints of 80s on a couple of these tracks.

Good but not as good as Koi No Yokan. It's a good album but their previous and my favourite Deftones album; Koi No Yokan released in 2012 was significantly better. The songs fall a little flat on this album.

Horrible. Apart from the lead single, this album is horrible. Deft ones ditch the hard rock edge for a more melody driven sound which they lose the magic that made them once famous
