Just awful.. At least change the name now so it won’t stain Hinders previous great albums.

Not the same Hinder.... Not the same without Austin

I've tried, but I just can't like it. I'm sorry, I totally understand that you need to change singers and styles sometimes, it's fine. But the new stuff is just...like so not fun to listen too. It really doesn't feel like the same band. And Marshal, you need a lot of work on vocals man. You sound so whiny and pitchy when you sing, I can't listen for more than 30 seconds. I tried to like this album, but the previews were so bad I'm not even gonna purchase it. It isn't the same.

Not the same. I could like this album, but I can't bring myself to buy the album simply because his voice sounds muffled unlike the previous albums where Austin was killing the vocals with no muffler sounds

Not impressed. Guys! Get Austin Back! The music sounds great but the lead singer just doesn't have the right sound.

Sad. I guess I'm "one of those haters". Oh well. Call me if Austin ever comes back.

Really?. Lets all realize Hinder never was good to begin with, a different singer makes no difference.

Great Album!. Thoroughly enjoy this album!

Feels Good. This is actually a really solid collection of songs. It just had that feel good rock sound with just enough heavy guitar riffs to make you go full air guitar. After I really came to terms with the fact that they have a new singer and he has a different sound, I gave the new music a chance and I'm able to appreciate this album. It's got great lyrics too. Great job!

My Ears Hurt !!!. It's better than the previous album but not the same without Austin as the singer ! It's not the Hinder I always enjoyed and having a hard time keeping an open mind ! Bring Him Back Please !!!

Solid Project. This is a very good album. Quit complaining, yes Austin left the band that was his doing no one forced him out! He wanted to be more creative with the music he was doing and felt like he could not do it with Hinder and felt like they were doing the same type of songs on each album.

An Objective View. As someone who listened to both singers (but not avidly), this band sounds different, yeah, but it still holds its own. As a general rule, singers in the higher register who sing hard rock usually get picked on. It's really not as bad as the fans make it out to be.

Noooo. Longtime fan, just can’t get behind them without Austin no matter how much I try. Hate to be a hater but I just can’t dig it like I used to.

Better, but just not enough.. Better than When The Smoke Clears...but the weak link is still the vocals. Just can't compare to the old Hinder; just the way it is. There are a couple tracks I like well enough on this album, but the vocals just don't do it for me.

Incredible Album. Let the haters say what they will, but I'm all for moving forward with this band. THIS is hinder now and I LOVE it!! Incredible album! Incredible.

Hinder is incredible!. Best album ever!!! Absolutely love the new style and can't wait to hear more !

Stereotypical Vocals. The vocals don’t sound very unique & sound overproduced. Love the guitar work, but the vocalist lacks any feeling/passion. When Austin sang, you felt it, not to mention he also had a unique tone. Please find a different singer with passion or bring Austin back.

It's Good!. I do miss the old singer, but this new guy did a good job.

This is crap. There's so many good metal releases out there this year. This is not one of them.

Great Music!!!. Same great music that Hinder is known for! Even though Austin isn't singing anymore, you can still hear him on this album.

New singer in please. Hinder is not the same anymore. The new vocalist can’t sing. The band can still play good music.

Great!. I enjoyed the last album, WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS, but following the release of that album I suffered to accept it. It was like a bad breakup and I was unable to accept that Hinder had gotten a new singer, so I went through the denial stage and worked right up to acceptance. That's when I gave this new repackaged Hinder and chance and I liked what I heard...mostly. With new record, Hinder returns to the sound of TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT and ALL AMERICAN NIGHTMARE with darker lyrical content. Marshal's vocals sound really nice on several of the tracks on this record and I think it is one of the better rock albums to be released this year. They went through their growing pains and now they're back, just as good as they were before. Favorite tracks: "The Reign", "Remember Me", "Drink You Away", "Making it Hard", "Play to Win"

Smh. Sorry I tried but this just isn’t the same as it used to be, you need austin and austin needs you

No identity anymore. The same criticism of Hinder remains and it's less to with the singer and more to do with the direction the band has gone in. It started even when Austin was still with the band -- their sound has morphed into being like everything else in their genre now. Ironically, they've not matured during this evolution and the one track that harkens musically back to their best days, "Making It Hard", is virtually unlistenable because, lyrically, it's so base and puerile. At least back in the day, the likes of AC/DC had some fun with double entrendres and alluding to sex -- this track just thrusts it in your face without any subtelty or humor at all.

Terrible vocals. They lost that power in the vocals when Austin left.

Love love love!. Love the new Hinder album! I can't stop listening to it. This is my favorite album from Hinder. The guys sound great! Love Marshal's voice! Better than ever! Solid album!

Not Bad. I don't think it's bad. It really is an okay album but if I'm to be totally honest,,,I think Austin is the best lead singer!

LAME!. Look, if you're going to start a new project (which is what this is), then have the balls to use a new band name. Coasting off of the Hinder name is nothing but an admission of guilt... that your new songs could never stand alone without a once mid-level name. Didn't like the old Hinder, but at least gave props to your old singer for being original. Going out and getting a singer from a band that was one of the least respected in the Dallas music scene doesn't further your agenda. At the very least, you could have gotten a singer with a unique voice to pair with your incredibly NOT UNIQUE brand of rock. It's not 2003 anymore. Bands like you are why hard rock is dead.

New band (Not Hinder). In all respect, hinder has a new sound that needs some tweaking done to it . The vocals are not very clear and the music sounds like it lags with no hype. They should have just dropped hinder and renamed the band

Terrible!. This is not Hinder...

No. This is no longer hinder... Austin help them

Hinder album. I love Hinder and I always will I love the new lead singer he's so good at singing my favorite songs off the are making it hard and play win I'm even friends with Marshall dutton on Facebook awesome 😎😍😝😁😜my friend Robby he has a YouTube channel and he does album reviews so he said that he might review this album though I hope he does it soon as he gets time for it 💯

Not sure. I love Hinder (one of my faves besides Nickelback)! Not so sure about this one though! With the new lead singer they just don't sound the same! But maybe it will just take some time getting used to. Either way Hinder will still be a favorite of mine!

Great album. Love the new music especially the songs Too Late, Making it Hard, Drink You Away. Became a fan of the band this year thanks to a friend introducing me to their music and actually met them nice guys and they know how to rock in their shows.

Just no.... This sounds nothing like Hinder. Will not be purchasing anything further without Austin.

Horrible. This band is horrible without Austin.. Change your band name so you don't ruin it for everyone.

Nope.. Sounds generic AF. Bring back Austin or bust.

Horrible band, horrible music. Too bad I had to give it a star just to post the review (You should fix that little flaw, Apple)... Hinder was never good, and they're worse with the new guy. Don't bother.

Not Hinder. The singer has no balls, very mundane. Guitarists and music are great. Check out Eclipse new album "Monumentum' it's absolutely great. I'll listen to this but I don't hear any songs that really stick out. Sorry guys two strikes now....

"The Reign" is awesome!!!!. Hinder is back with their new singer Marshall Dutton and it sounds great. This album is a little bit heavier than the last one. Let's be real here, previous lead frontman Austin Winkler isn't coming back anytime soon, so let's stop whining and giving this album a 1 out of 5 just because of the new singer. The whole thing is stupid, nobody can make Winkler come back into the band, we have to except the new changes.

Success and Talent.. Awesome Music from a great group of guys. As you're hating on them, just remember they're laughing at you from their big nice houses.

Why not come out with a new band name?. This isn't Hinder. Same with Three Days Grace...which was also ruined with a new singer. It does make it an entirely new band, why not change the name and carve out your own/new identity and help avoid the comparisons and parody???

Lost Identity. They now sound like everyone else. They need to have a pow wow with Austin and come together. The great unique sound they had is lost. Without the voice they won’t get it back, this voice isn’t unique and neither is this album and sound.

Should change the name. The songs are good, perhaps a new band name would be better, Austin made this band stand out and now the band sounds like everything else on rock radio. Still a good sound, but nothing amazing.

Yuck. Austin was hinder

Awesome!. It took me some time to get used to the change, but wow! I love this album, so I went back and listened to the previous 2 releases and they are great as well! Love the song Too Late!!!! Great stuff!!!!

Change Name of Band. They need to just change their name so I no longer click on their name in hopes that Austin is back with the band.

Amazing as Always!. Love this band. Have loved everything they do and this is no exception! Love the harder vibe compared to When the Smoke Clears, but then I love that album too. Marshall fits in perfectly. Love the Austin years, but they've proven they can maintain the high quality I'm used to with these guys. Love this album from start to finish!

Yesssss Hinder Rocks again!!!. Thank you Hinder for bringing back the rock...Not a bad song on it. My favorites are Too Late, Making it hard, and Play to win. Yes I miss Austin too, I think most fans would but anyone hating this music just because he is gone its just your loss. Because this is a solid effort.

Decent rock, but not Hinder. As my title suggests. It's not a terrible rock album, but Austin's voice is what made Hinder Hinder. The music is your typical rock. The vocals are where Hinder used to stand out. This just gets washed away with every other mediocre band out there.
