Great Lyrics but What's with Phil Spector?. Almost all great song material but what the hell is with the Phil Spector wannabes in Nashville? Actually, Nashville is famous for formula music production, so here they go again. Over the past few years it sems that every producer in Nashville wants to emulate Phil Spector's "wall of sound." Eventually ,every cut begins to sound like the last one....over-produced and super compressed sound. What ever happened to creativity in the studio? Brad is great but the production make me want to quit listening after the third cut.

Last Time for Everything. there are so many good songs, my favorites are Last Time for Everything and Gold All Over the Ground!

Just Stop!. I wish Brad would just stop making this awful "country" music. He has terrible lyrics and pretty much says the same thing in all of his songs. Where is old Brad when you need him. The past 4 albums have been nothing but garbage

Amazing Album Cover to Cover. One of Brad Paisley's unique character traits as an artist is his ability to write an album instead of just a collection of singles with phoned-in filler songs. Love and War is an amazing journey from the picture perfect setting of Heaven South to the undeniably touching tear-jerker Dying to See Her. The album starts off on a bright and nostalgic note with a sound that is unmistakably Brad Paisley. The albums latter half turns dark with the trio Dying to See Her, Solar Power Girl, and the Devil is Alive and Well. The dark turn has some light at the end of the tunnel ending off the album with, appropriately, Meaning Again and a reprise of Heaven South. Brad has crafted an amazing Album that's worth a listen top to bottom.

Love. I remember discoving Paisley around age 10 when he had just released his "American Saturday Night" album. It mingled traditional country music with modern ideals. I was drawn to it! I followed him for the next years. All was well until about "Wheelhouse". He is a true artist, so he had some things he wanted to say with the album, which I respect, but it wasnt as appealing as his previous work. The same goes for "Moonshine in the Trunk". I was begining to worry we had lost the real Brad Paisley we once new, but this album has derailed those fears. "Love and War" carries on the Paisley tradition. I have listened to it almost 30 times so far because it is just so dang good. Way to go Brad!

This one blew me away.... Not a huge Brad Paisley fan by any stretch of the imagination, but once I sampled a few songs thru iTunes, I deemed the entire worthy of buying. Then, when I put on the headphones and listened to it "front to back", I was blown away. The guitars, the vocals, the lyrics ALL come together. Hearing The Drive of Shame reminded me of classic Rolling Stones and Love and War (with John Fogerty) shows Fogerty's still in excellent voice. Oh yeah...Paisley fans are going to love it too. I don't usually review albums on iTunes (this is only my second), but when it thrills me (or chills me in the case of last Meat Loaf effort), I gotta say somethin'. This album rocks!

The worst. Pandering douche

Guitar solo. So I’ve been trying to pinpoint what it is exactly that makes me change the station every time I hear a Brad Paisley song. And I think that I finally discovered my irritants with every song he sings... GUITAR SOLO!! At this point in your career Brad we know that you can play the guitar!!! every single song has to have a guitar solo it is so freaking irritating!! Not to mention every song you sing sounds like a parody!!!

Must Listen!!. Wait until you see the VISUAL album on Apple Music starting Friday....This album hits in many different directions...Love & War for Classic Rock fans and same for The Mick Jagger song...Serious Country fans with Devil is alivce and well..also Dying to see her again...Dive in..this is a great ride!!!

Dying To See Her. Dying to see her..I really hope it’s his next single.. That song hit a nerve and made me think of my mother .. The album is amazing!! Great Job Brad Paisley

Just keeps getting better!. Super songwriting, arranging, and of course playing! The collaboration with Johnny Cash is a great way to honor the man and bring his unfinished work to life.

Time wasted.. A quick listen to the various snippets found here is all that is needed to know how shallow, lightweight, ho-hum this album is. Even by the very low standards found in contemporary C&W this "artist" profanes the genre where Johnny Cash and Dwight Yoakum still reign at the pinnacle. The cover art is also terrible.

Not worth it. Just another pop country album.

Amazing As Usual. I had not heard any of this album until I saw him a year ago. I received a copy of the CD at the concert and listened to it on the three hour drive. I really enjoyed the duets with John Fogarty and Mick Jager. “Today” and “Last Time for Everything” are becoming favorite songs.

It's ok. It's better than his last album. I like half of the songs. But he is definitely staying true to his way of writing & his music style, unlike so many artist that sound SO different from album to album.

The Old Paisley is Back!. Gold All Over The Ground, Go To Bed Early, and Dying To See Her are the hidden gems of this album and show what Brad Paisley is all about! Very heartfelt lyrics with excremental meaning, along with a little bit of amazing guitar playing!

Pitiful. This album is the definition of shallow content and confused identity. Paisley is as talented as the day is long, but whatever this is feels more like trying to fit in than setting a standard. Nothing special here. Complete waste of artistic ability.

Best Album of the Year!. So far, this is the best album of the year. Great songwriting, the songs can relate to you, and the music also sounds great. It sounds like Brad Paisley is going back to his roots, too. The best songs are 'One Beer Can', 'Drive of Shame', 'Last Time for Everything', 'Love and War', 'Contact High', 'Today', 'Selfie#theinternetisforever', 'Meaning Again' and 'The Devil Is Alive and Well'. The only song that I would skip on this album is 'Gold All Over the Ground'. The rest of the 16 songs are awesome.

Classic + Modern Brad. Brad has always been loyal to the country music. Even some of the topics in this album are just so technical and modern，it still represents the best of Brad. Keep going Brad，always a fan💕☺️😋

You're gettin' there Brad. One of the few albums on the charts today that is even close to real country music. Brad's got an infusion of Country, Blues, and a bit of Rock and Roll that isn't too overdone. I'd say kind of a twang with a kick. Similar to Lynyrd Skynyrd, or CCR. Great stuff, looking forward to even more traditional and throwback sounds from him in the future.

Awsome Album. If you really like good country music this is your album. Even if you are a casual fan there are songs on here that can speak to you. Brad knows how to write for all audiences and that is something he doesn't get enough credit for. Definitely two thumbs up anyone looking at these comments should seriously check it out.

Classic Mr. Paisley!. As others have written, this album represents a return to his classic roots, which further represents the previous generation of country music. As far as I'm concerned, Brad Paisley is not only an excellent songwriter and musician but a poet of the times! It doesn't get any better!

CD Quality. Great album - but these days the sound quality of CD's really stinks. There is so much distortion now. I remember when CD's first came out in the 80's and 90's and how crystal clear the sound was. Now the sound is like my speakers are cranked all the way up, yet their not - so much distortion. I wish the record companies could go back to the way it was when you could actually hear all the different sounds.

True Artist. I've enjoyed Brad's music since his first album. He is one of a few that holds true to the country music code. He is a hilarous and serious artist. Brad partners with other artists to bring compliments to country. A true homerun Brad. God Bless you man!!!
