Amazing from start to finish!. If you've liked any of his older stuff, you're guaranteed to love this new album! In my opinion, this is easily is best work. I'm not trying to take away from his other stuff, but for me personally, I connected with a vast majority of these songs. If I had to choose a favorite, maybe "Masterpiece" or "The Comeback".

Amazing but.... I just hate the techno intro and backdrops, it's just corny and is not necessary (thats only like 2 songs but still)His vocals are amazing, but the problem is that he goes to his high register in a lot of the songs (not all) so they sound the same or the songs sound restricted. Besides that I love his voice, raw but controlled, and once he opens his mouth I know it's Danny. He's the only Mainstream Christian artist out there I listen to, and that's praise because I'm picky on my choice of artist. Once again, Good job Danny

Brought Jesus Light and Hope to the dark. haven’t seen it yet and Rise and Hope in front of me got me through the darkest moments in my life waiting on the Rebuilder to Rebuild. but He did. i just hadn’t seen it yet. i see it now. God used him greatly.

Music truly for the soul and the body. Words do not describe this man’s music. He will move you. Rise is my favorite album by Danny Gokey but I have favorites in all of his albums. GIVE THIS A LISTEN and your taste in music will transform..you can’t go back to the rest of the mainstream crap after hearing him. Then you’ll find others similar, and one day you’ll notice life isn’t so heavy. Surround yourself with healing, and you will heal!

Not bad, but overproduced. UPDATE on my review below. The album has grown on me. I really like it a lot now! Has been so encouraging when I needed it! Some very inspiring and encouraging messages in this album and really, unlike my first impression, I have come to really appreciate it musically. I don't usually have a change of heart about an album, but definitely with this one! :) ----- Very nice lyrics and Danny's voice is great as usual. The album, however, is way overproduced. Way too much synth, and overlapping layers. Unfortunately as a result Danny's voice is behind/underneath the instrumental layers in most of the songs and this doesn't allow for the real quality of his voice and passion to come through as clearly as it could. The album is also stylistically inconsistent. A strange mix of a retro 70's, 80's, CCM, and Europop feels. Honestly, I enjoyed the Facebook video more, prior to the album release. Nonetheless, its still a good album.

Masterpiece!!. Have been a fan for years! This album is nothing short of a Masterpiece!

Good Album...Great Addition. Great lyrics...Great sound...Gorgeous ballads. My only criticism is that it was a bit scattered stylistically and there were a few techno/blues songs that overpowered Danny.

Amazing Artist. Danny Gokey never ceases to amaze. This latest albumn is a great work and does not disappoint. His voice is still one of the best in the industry. Be sure you listen to the first and last song. The remix version is definately running music!

Love Danny😍. I've loved him since I first heard his story about his wife on his audition for American Idol. I then had the pleasure to see him live as well as meet him and get his autograph. I'm glad to see him being sucessful!💙

Rise!. Danny once again gives us an inspirational set of songs. Overall a nice cohesive album with some uptempo and a few mid tempo songs. Personal faves are Rise, Stronger Than We Think, Masterpiece, What Love Can Do.

Randomly stumbled across this album. Randomly stumbled across this album. Played a couple intros and thought "who is this??????? And why isn't he more famous???" Bought the album having no clue who the singer is/was. So much talent out there that I still gave yet to come across

All the feels. This album is giving all the right combination of power, funk, and pop, but maintains sincerity in the lyrics and the bite of the vocal! I'm sure I'll have this on repeat for a while.

Best Album Yet :). I've been a fan of Danny Gokey since he was on American Idol. From his first "country" album ("My Best Days") after A.I. to his most recent Christmas album, "Rise" is by far his best album yet. Danny has always been known more for his soulful ballads. So, I'm thrilled that "Rise" showcases more of his upbeat side. "Stronger Than You Think," "If You Ain't In It," "The Comeback," and "Never Be The Same" are not only uplifting, but also make you want to move to the beats. He even throws in some slow funk sounds with appropriately titled "Slow Down." For those that prefer his ballads, there are plenty of those also, including a duet with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. The album is full of originality, which I always appreciate from Danny. I see a "best of" album in the future for Danny Gokey :)

Wow!! Amazing, fantastic, powerful vocals!. I listened to this and HAD to buy it! I can't even pick a favorite - every song in this album is stellar! Killer production - can't wait to work out to these tunes!

Best Christian Singer EVER!. Every time i hear his songs, he makes me happy, and he is such a inspirational singer! he really makes you think about life and god and that it really truly is! GO BUY HIS ALBUM YOU WONT REGRET IT. :)

Great Album!!. Usually I purchase one or two songs and forgo the rest of the songs but every song on this album is great. I love the songs that collaborated with other artists as well as the upbeat tracks. I will share how good this album is with everyone I know!! Love it!!

Very solid album. Top notch Christian pop album.. listened to it all the way through and it didn't skip a beat. Danny truly bares it all in this album. I pray he will continue to lift Gods name and does not continue to get distracted by all those "trees"... much love!

Different but good. This album isn't exactly what I expected, but I love it. The style is different from Hope in front of me. I accept the changes, but it isn't really too much worth the hype. The songs were good, but I wish that there were more songs to spice it up some more. I absolutely love it because you are singing for and to God. This might need a deluxe edition.

Awesome Album. I love this album! There's a variety of types of songs, from the up tempo Stronger to a song that makes me cry Chasing. I'm a huge fan. I can relate to all of the songs and they help me remember that God is in control and He's always with us. As a side note, he's awesome in concert, saw him in Philly with Casting Crowns.

Only got Comeback... LOVE IT. Danny should get some football players and have an awesome music video. Having a certain thing happen each time he says a certain phrase. Like “Here comes a comeback” a guy catching the ball in the back of the end zone and just so keeping his toes in bounds. THAT would be awsome
